  1. I would go with a metal backer instead of wood. Simply because of durability. Dont have to worry about it cracking or twisting when it dries out. We used 1/4" aluminum plate under the gunnel of our boat when we installed our tracks. If they come off, so is the side of the boat!!!
  2. Awesome...I know that was a fun day on the water....Cant beat those silver bullets!!!
  3. Thats awesome...I know a guy that is a commercial fisherman. His license is good out till 130' for whitefish. The pots extend up like 10 or 15' i think off bottom. Anyhow, he has had cormorants in that pot...Think he said like 17 one time...Unbelievable...Talk about holding your breath!
  4. Nicely done...What releases are you using when fishing big boards? We always use the yellow offshore releases for big boards. Set the spring tensioner to the max and clip em in half way. Theyre pricey, but they work fantastic.
  5. Nice job out there...Great steelhead!
  6. The things a fisherman will do for the hot bait!!!
  7. Nice job fellas...Those trout look great and that coho even better!!!
  8. Nice work, great looking King you have there.
  9. Nice work....The offshore gig is whats happening from what im hearing....Lots of big steelhead....But, you gotta burn some serious petro to get to them.
  10. Nice work Ed...Buddy fished out of Sterling yesterday and did good too. I think they caught 17 fish in all and ended up 2nd in a tournament and won big fish to boot.
  11. Nice work Gordy...Those big fish are fun arent they!!!
  12. Great report...gotta love those steel!!!
  13. Nice pic....Looks like some great salmon trolling water to me!
  14. Great work out there to both of you!!!
  15. Thanks guys...I fished in 28' of water again. Same program, inlines and harnesses 30-40' back with 1 oz. Purples, chartruese and oranges all took fish for us. Kicked the speed up to around 1.3-1.4 for the best results. Water temps was up to 73 when we quit.
  16. Not from your port, but all the good reports im hearing are coming from offshore...Out there on the scum lines etc. catching a mixed bag.
  17. Well, we fished the Scottish Rite tournament out of LBM today. What a day on the water. Conditions were great, too flat for my liking, but a beautiful day none the less. Fishing followed suit. I dare say we boated somewhere in the realm of 50-60 legal walleye today, about 8 sheephead and a couple of cats. We weighed in 14.75# which landed us 8th place and a check...Once again, i just couldnt get that kicker fish to get us over the hump. Winning weight was 17.78#. And to end the day we cooked some fish, fries, Mom made some cole slaw. Great company, food and fun...another fine day in paradise.
  18. Heres the vid and a few pics from our trip on Tuesday. http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d179/adam_bomb81/fish/?action=view&current=CraigandBriansTripwithus006.flv
  19. No, not really. We usually eat what we catch or give it away. And believe me, finding someone who wants walleye isnt a tough task. Changed the fuel water seperator and the inline filter on the main motor today. In all honesty, everything looked pretty darned good, so im not sure thats the problem. We're gonna try it out in the AM and see if our problems persist. If that dont work, ill go have a diagnostic done i guess...and then hop on my buddies boat like i did this morning.
