  1. Thanks for the honest report. Heres a quote from the Ludington Fishing report from Capt. Glen. "The 28.2lb King that was caught yesterday was on a 3 color and DW reg. size Goldilocks. Great job Ray and Jim Decker!!" What an awesome fish!!!
  2. Yup, been hearing its slowing down up there. I believe the fish are moving south. We're starting to get more consistant action on the southern portions of the bay....in areas we already should have been fishing for over a month now!!!..Its about time.
  3. Thats a bummer...Sorry for your loss.
  4. I agree Dan, i think theyre moving south. Seems the fishing continues to get better and better in places that it should have already been going haywire. I hope August brings good things, but you and Frank will have to have all that fun....Ill be on the "Gold Coast" chasing silver fish!
  5. Great summary...Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work.
  6. Awesome report. Great job out there and welcome to the site...lotta good people here.
  7. Nice job Dan...What size are you running? I like #6 VMC Cone cut Trebles or Mustad Triple Grips or Gamakatsu EWG for the rear hook. I run a premium #2 Octopus hook from one of the aforementioned companies.
  8. Nice job under some tough conditions Jim.
  9. Nice job fellas....Got a nice mix of size too....I can see smoked salmon, canned salmon and blackened salmon hanging there.
  10. Looks like another great day on da bay!
  11. Fish didnt cooperate, but at least you were on the water...and thats half the battle. Thanks for the report.
  12. Awesome...Real nice job out there!
  13. Sure did...Pulled right into the slip.
  14. Nice job Phil...Good looking fish you have there. Nice and chunky!!!
  15. Well, with all the "tourists" in town we wanted to get out early and get the jump on the fish/traffic. So, my buddy Dan and I headed out about 6:45 AM, had lines in around 7:10 AM or so. Started a bit south of yesterdays marks. As soon as we sat down we had a few on that came unbuttoned and a few short hits, then nothing. Just as we decided to pick up our toys we caught a couple shorties and did box one keeper. Gave it another five minutes and pulled lines to make a move. So, on the next pass we ran up about a mile farther and sat down. We no more than got all the lines in and all three of my rods went. It was on from there. Finished that pass, made one more rip and we had our 10 walleye, an 11 1/2" perch and released a couple more keepers while trying to pull lines. Had our fish by 9:30 AM and everything wrapped up and on plane by 9:45 am....Another great day on Saginaw Bay. Fished in 23' of water, red beads w/#5 red/gold colorado blades and purple beads w/blue berry muffin whiptail blades and chart. beads w/#5 antifreeze colorado blade. 1 oz. inlines anywhere from 30-40' back took fish, speed was around 1.1 on the GPS.
  16. You know it Frank. Its just the right thing to do. I had an ice fishing outting this past winter. A bunch of us from another website went out fishing. I set foot on the ice at about 8 am, and didnt get off it until 9:30 PM that night. I was constantly on the machine either getting people out or running in to get the cooking equipment for our fish fry and i was also inolved in pulling out 4 machines from the ice that day. I think i fished like 2 1/2 hours and as luck would have it, i was able to catch my 5 fish. It was a long day to say the least, with its ups and downs, but id do it all over again...I could be the one in need next time and i would hope someone would be gracious enough to take a little time outta their day to pitch in and help. Hopefully someone will read this and put two and two together instead of worrying about a couple of fish when they see a boat broke down.
  17. Nice work out there. Good to hear the cold water has arrived. Hopefully itll bring some feesh.
  18. Hey, fishing is tough enough right now, no need to help em out!!!...Nice job with what you had to work with. Im sure that was very deflating to your dimeanor when you discovered your snaffoo...We've all been there at some point....Once again, nice job.
  19. Well now, thats sounds like quite the day for a retired fella.......Glad you got in without any trouble. Nice job on the fish. I can understand the lack of ediquette at the dock, but blatently passing by someone in trouble is just total B.S....Nothing irritates me more. Wish i woulda been up there Frank, i woulda gave you a tow. Good luck with your honey dos and with the winch repair.
  20. Alright...Congratuations!!!!
  21. Nice Bass....Looks like fun....Used to do allot of Bass fishing when my brother and i were in our teens. Love smallmouths...man can they pull the string!
  22. Boat looks great Frank. Do you use your riggers for walleye out there? We have a set we use for salmon, but have never broke em out for walleye. Just curious i guess.
  23. Nice job Frank....Real nice fish you got there as well. How long is that fish?...28"?
  24. Nice work Frank..I had a feeling the weather we've had since Sunday would change things a bit.
