  1. Wow, thats sounds like an interesting day. Sorry to hear the gear got a little torqued up. Nice job on the fish and an atta boy to "Scuba Steve" for untangling the mess under the boat.
  2. Nice job Mike, thanks for the report. I checked the Web Cam a few times last night and go a few images, but none with any fish on.
  3. I seemed to have missed this post. Nice work out there Dan. Those little guys are all smiles. Job well done.
  4. Nice job Flyman. It certainly looks like you two enjoyed your time out there. Congrats on a great trip. Just an FYI, that fish your holding at the top of your post is a Coho. Notice the lack of spots on the lower portion of the tail, the way the tail folds up as well as the differences in the head. Next time out if you get a coho and a king in the boat try picking the coho up by the tail. It is much more apt to slip outta your hand, while as if you grabbed a king by the tail you could swing him like a ball bat! That King your wife is holding has some beautiful color. That olive back with that pinkish schene below is pretty sharp looking.
  5. GJ Robert, you go some real nice fish there. How were other boats fairing? Rayman96 has given some sound advise. Ive ran 30-50# leader material and have noticed no difference in the amount of hits i have. Im currently running a clear dreamweaver snubber, 7' 40# leader and 60# w/22" set back on the flies w/8" SD's. I run the plugs and spoons off this as well and they are also productive for me. Good luck, losing tackle sucks. I managed to bust off a complete diver set up last trip out. Replacing that was ok, it was the extras that i "needed" that hurt the pocket book.
  6. Wow, nice laker. Most of the ones ive caught are around 3-5# and on up to about 10#. Thats a good laker if you ask me. Theres lots bigger out there, but you dont see too many brought in that size. At least i dont.
  7. Nice job Rob, you definitely caught some TUNAs!!!
  8. Good luck Mike...Once again, im not over there so im gonna put the pressure on you to produce. Im still looking for that deck load from the GLF on the GLF Web cam!...Go smack em buddy! Got a call from my buddy in Manistee at 8 am. They were on their way in with their 15. Had 3 22# Kings!!!
  9. Nice job, you got some great fish.
  10. Nice job Ken. Good luck on your outtings in Muskegon.
  11. Great job Capt. Phil...And when it comes to fish tales...Its your story, you can tell it how you want....Looks like everyone enjoyed the heck outta themselves. 29 fish on will do that to ya. Nice work.
  12. Nice work. Thanks for the report Jason.
  13. Nice pic. Looks like those "fingerlings" had some fun. Thats what its all about!
  14. Its definitely slowed down from what ive been hearing. Im not exactly sure why either as the water temps have stayed very mild for this time of year. Hot weather in the forcast for the next few days. Ill be watching the reports to see if things pick up with the warm up..ecspecially if its calm and the water sucks up that heat. And your pics didnt show up.
  15. Nice job Matt, hope the pics i took came out for you.
  16. Get outta here!!...Thats crazy! It is a small world. Thanks again for taking the pics, much appreciated. You had a great haul yourself!!!
  17. Sounds like a great time to me. Gotta love those diver shots. Theyre so furouscious. Never get tired of seeing that rod get thrashed!!!
  18. Theres definitely plenty of issues out there and ive seen most of them. Just yesterday I had a charter come out and set up on our port side. No biggy right. Wrong!!! He proceeds to set down and angle his boat right at us. I thought for sure he'd turn, but he kept coming and coming and coming. I called on the radio, gave and gave and gave and eventually turned about 90* to keep him out of my core lines. Now mind you, im the only boat in this area and i had allot of room to move to the west, but thats not the p0point. The fact of the matter is, i was already trolling when he arrived and began setting lines. To me, he should have parallelled me, not muscle me out like that. He could have just as easily eased to the east and parallelled me. It was total B.S. And this from a very well known CHARTER out of Ludington. I wont name names, but if he does it again he might have a 21' boat pulling on his copper and divers! Theres NO reason for that crap. Just because he charters and is out every day doesnt give him the right to go whereever he wants out there with no consideration for others. They have to be curteous too. I deviated from my course allot, even though i was right, i think he should have done the same.
  19. Welcome to the site Dennis. Nice fish too!
