  3. Good luck to ya. Im sure itll be a great trip.
  4. I tried a new area looking to strike gold, but didnt do too hot Steve. Was about 2 miles east of you guys. Marked about 6 fish out there and got a couple. Rick had a little flurry and pulled some fish quick. Other than that, pretty slow. Shoulda came back in there for the evening bite, but im always looking for more more more. Stayed the night at base camp, wow whatta wild night. Didnt get to bed till 2 am, the shrimp boil rocked again. Got up at 5:45 am, left base camp at 6:15 and headed out to where we fished Saturday morning with the group. Fished a couple hours and got 3, lost 2 and then headed back to help tear down base camp. Sad day to be sure, wish we could leave it up all year long. Great times. Fished this evening in the blizzard. Snow drifts abosultely suck out there. Worked the heck outta the Honda. It was worth it though. Ended up landing 9 eyes and a whitefish and lost WAY too many. I hate jiggin raps!!!!
  5. Thats a great shout of the Lighthouse. Beautiful scene to be sure.
  6. Welcome aboard Bob.
  7. Diving would be awesome!
  8. I use mine when fishing shallow or high in the water colum. You have shorter leads out most generally, but the slide diver allows you to lengthen your lead from diver to bait which lets you get it away from the boat. Works fantastic.
  9. If your talking about the Copeyon Park launch, then yes its big enough for your boat. Pere Marquette Lake is also plenty deep for you and connects to the lake. And yes, the fishing is fantastic in July and not all that many people yet. Thats when i transform from walleye whackin to salmon slammin'! Fishing is good by the point, but i prefer to fish strait out or south as there is still plenty of fish and not as heavily fished. Keep up with the net updates so you have an idea where theyre located. There were several from Big Sable Point south towards the Project last year. Good luck to ya, one of the best ports on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan...Love Ludington, come on July!!!
  10. Flood em out!!!
  11. Thats awesome. Looks like a fantastic trip. Glad you two had a fun down there. Sorry about the shark ruining your fun.
  12. I got some from a buddy to try out last year, but never did. Forgot em in the truck every trip out.

  14. Thats an awesome fish Paul!!!
  15. Thats a hell of a Laker Paul...WOW!!!! Matt, thats a great story and a great fish. Is that the same boat your grandpas running today? Seems like it.
  16. RIP Capt. Phil...Sad day to be sure. He seemed like a real good guy. Loved his fishin and his family.
  17. Thats why theirs filters so only those that you want to see read whats going on can.
  18. I do agree, sometimes less rods in the water is more productive than the super spread. Ecspecially if you got the fish poppin...Lot easier to manage.
  19. Nice report Tom. Sorry they didnt cooperate a bit better for ya. Been fickle for us the last couple days as well. Ice is real good out to around 15' off Linwood. Beyond that on the new ice its 6-7" everywhere ive been out to 18'. But, there are allot of smaller cracks out there that range in width from 1"-12" that ive come acrossed. Also some jams to be ware of. Fishing down off the park was real good, but has since slowed, at least for us and those i know. Last time i was there was Sunday. Pretty poor fishing and i covered some water along with 9 other guys. But as in any day, im sure someones still getttin em down there.
  20. You can never have too many of anything fishing related.

  22. Nice...I bet its not that peaceful and serene today!!!!
