  1. I thought you asked about a Ludington Report the other day. This is from the 16th, but it certainly sounds promising. Hope youve been out smacking fish.

  2. Thanks for the report and if i havent already done so, welcome to the site. If i hear anything down south ill be sure to post it for ya.
  3. I run a 30-40' section of mono inbetween my core and power pro backer for attaching to the board. Its easy on the releases and grips well. Also gives me 30-40' of mono to experiment with to fine tune the depth. Might clip on just after the core or anywhere along the mono. I always keep track of where i clip on it for repeatablitliy.
  4. I havent used it, but hear the super copper is the cats pajamas.
  5. Your a fish catchin machine...Keep rockin em.
  6. Nice trout boys and girls!!!
  7. Boat looks great, and so does the harbor. Hope you have a great season Mike.
  8. Better than a sharp stick in the eye any day...Nicely done Matt
  9. Allot of the walleye guys use units like that on "walleye boats" like Rangers, Lunds etc. They troll crawlers and stick baits with them at low speeds down wave. You can fish all day doing that. Those rigs have lots of batteries, some dedicated just the trolling motor, along with onboard chargers...Its not something your gonna use to troll salmon speeds or pull cranks for eyes with all day long up and down any kind of waves. So, you gotta ask yourself what you plan to use it for before making the investment. The more you crank the speed up, the more juice they pull. Just something to consider. Good luck with your decision.
  10. Fantastic....great lookin feesh!!!
  11. Welcome abouard Tim. Not allot of guys run riggers, but they do catch fish on them. Most run spoons, harnesses or body baits off them when they use them. The more popular way to fish is with inline planer boards as Franks suggested in conjunction with flat lines or lines run horizontal off the corners of the boat with bottom bouncers off them. Commonly used presentations off inline boards or traditional planer boards are inline weights, bottom bouncers or snap weights with a harness trailing behind. Crankbaits are also a good options and baits like Hot N Tots, Reef Runners, Jr. Thundersticks, Shad Raps, Tail Dancers, Deep Husky Jerks. Early on in the season Shallow diving husky's, original raps, bombers and other shallow diving baits take fish. Other options include jet divers, big jon mini disks or even the mini dipseys to deploy spoons and harness etc. And coming stronger and stronger onto the scene every year is lead core. It takes allot of fish. 1-3 colors will serve you well. Ok, i think i got a bunch covered. I gotta get running, so if you have any questions dont be affraid to ask and ill get back at ya. Good luck, have fun, its a terrific fishery.....Adam
  12. I think 30 minute sessions would be best.
  13. Your outboard will work fine. Your running baits out away from the boat on boards with fairly lengthy leads. That gives you plenty of stealth. Have fun out there.
  14. Welcome aboard Jim. Glad to see more of you Wisconsin boys are joining the fun.
  15. Better break out that Vex again Jay!!!...Mike, we need a stir the pot icon...LMAO
  16. PM Priority1. I know where the campground is, but the name and the name of the road escapes me. As far as marinas theres Northport Marina and then a few that are down the river a bit, dont know those names either. Frank will help ya with the details. He's a cool cat. The state launch is a nice launch if you cant get a slip somewhere. When your on US-23 heading north hang a right at H and H Bakery and follow it to the end. That road is immediately after you cross the Augres River. If you turn left youll just go a short distance and the campground will be on your left. Have a great trip, thats a good port to fish from.
  17. Wow, sounds like quite the adventure. Nice fish and nice pics Ken.
