  1. I see...hey thats fishing. I wonder how much the water cooled off with that north wind? Those breakers on the peir head looked to have some nasty teeth.
  2. I forgot you have the Thomson, so you dont have any tubes. Must be a way to fish a wire up through somewhere though i would think. If not you could always run your wire through a convoluted slit electrical conduit to get it up there if worse came to worse. That would still give it a clean appearance if you followed say an edge up to the hardtop somewhere.
  3. They looked at the vomerine teeth, but had trouble discerning the pattern as the teeth were broken off from being hooked and the ensuing battle. It also stated that this fish had both round and X shaped spots indicative of both a brown and an atlantic. And they also examined the tongue according to the article, but couldnt come up with a proof positive identification on this trait because of the freezing process that took place with the remains. That was tough on allot of their research by the sounds of it.
  4. I gotta ask...Was Geoff with ya?...that could explain things!!!
  5. Oh itll clean it. Get the deck wet, put some down, scrub it a bit and let it set for like 5 minutes. If it starts to dry just spritz some water in it with the hose. After that scrub it a bit again and spray it off. Will be nice and white and clean.
  6. JWheeler, Any reason you cant run the wires through the tube on the hard top to your unit. You can get those rubber plugs for the penetrations where the wire comes out at Menards. They have three sizes availablet here i believe. Would make for a very clean look and accompish your goal i believe...Pics are always helpful when finding a solution..HINT HINT!!!..and if your problem with getting out its probably your antenna....man times thats the culprit.
  7. Well, ive always used softscrub on the textured deck, but read that its harsh on gel coat so ill be looking for a new alternative. Ill say it does work fantastic for cleaning the deck though!!!
  8. I hear that. Thats why i always keep everything from the rubrail down for last. Smooth sailing once your there!!! My least favorite part is the cockpit cause theres so much to go around and the walls where the walk around is along the sides of the cabin. What a PITA!!!!

  15. Thats insane. Whether it was a Brown or Atlantic its crazy not to have a fish like that officially documented. Thats a beast of a fish! Its rare to get a KING that big on Lake Michigan, let alone a land locked Brown or Atlantic!!!!

  20. Do you already have a GPS unit seperate from your sonar or are you wanting to upgrade to a Sonar/GPS combo unit? If you dont have a GPS at all, then by all means go that route and get the GPS. Will get you back safely and with the cardography available now a days itll show you hazards, breaks and other structure etc. Thats a great tool to have on board for safety and will help you catch allot of fish. If youve already got sonar and gps and your thinking of upgrading for just the sake of upgrading then i would consider the probe....Thats my take on that. Good luck to you.
  21. Now thats an awesome offer. Way to go Duece.
