  1. Beautiful boat Chris and welcome to the site. Thats a fishing machine right there!...When ya adding the rocket launchers to that beauty?!?!?!?!
  2. Got a call from our buddy Reggie today. He was headed up fishing and wanted to know if Dad and I would join him. So we did. He only had 4 LC reels so we brought 8 of ours and all most of our body baits. Glad we did as we would need them. Headed out, set up in 14', set lines not much going or much on the graph or the lines. So we're trolling along and im like damn, i cant believe we're not marking anything at all. So, i went up and looked at his graph. Sensativety was set at 30%. So, i cranked it up to around 75% and away we went. Marked a few, but nothing substantial, so we pointed it east. Finally once we hit 18' we started to see fish, but they were below our HJ14's. So, i pulled my side and put out 3 Deep Jr. Thundersticks. I just got the side set and we got a fish on. Lost it half way to the boat. Reset and then the outside thunderstick went. Got that in and changed the other side to some Reef Runner Deep Little rippers. Had a steady parade of fish the rest of our trip. Ended up 15 for 19, one of which was a sublegal. Had to cut our trip short for a BBQ this afternoon at our house, so we came in with 14. Not a bad first trip of the year. Ill post the pics when i get them downloaded. Deep Diving Thunder Stick Jr. 60-100' back. Blue/Silver, Black/Silver, Gold/Orange, Natural Perch Deep Diving Little Ripper 45-60' back. Copperhead and Black/Silver Flat lined a couple off the corners as well. 1/2 oz. Deep Thunderstick 65' back Black/Silver Prizm and a Deep Bomber Long A in Gold/Orange 50' back.
  3. Rock on!!!....I hope your booked up to pay for all that!
  4. Welcome aboard Katrina. Dont feel bad about asking questions. The only dumb question is the question thats not asked. Theres a great group here and a wealth of info to draw from. Dont be affraid to tap into it....Good luck in St. Joe this weekend.
  5. Nice work, whatd ya end up with? Browns, ho's, steel?
  6. Funny how things end up how they once began. The original Church boards i have have brass pins with knurled heads on them. They work great, i cant believ they wento that plastic pin...but, for the guy that doesnt fish much they probably work well for awhile.
  7. Sounds like a succsessful shakedown cruise to me!
  8. It could be yours Priority1 II...Now thats a handle!!!
  9. Most times i troll somewhere from 0.9-1.7 S.O.G. on the GPS. I usually start out a bit faster and dial it back as needed. I like to pull Rapala Husky jerks in size DHJ10 and DHJ12 or #7 Shad Raps if fish are deep or the shallow Huskey Jerks in HJ10, HJ12 or HJ14 if the fish are high in the water column or when fishing shallow. I also like to use the large 7 1/4" original F18 rapalas. Use those mostly when fishing at night....Clown, Firetiger and Blue/Silver are my favorites. Smithwicks, Bomber long A's, Thundersticks, Challenger Minnows and Yozuris are all good options in cold water conditions.
  10. I wish we had more structures like this on the great lakes. I know some spots like that that are not marked on any mapping cartography. Dont know if theyre man made or what, but they sure hold a ton of fish. Imagine having those dotted around. Would be pretty sweet.
  11. He's got more brass then i do!!!!.....Pretty awesome though!
  12. Thats a great ending...People helping people...you cant beat that!
  13. Well thats good to hear cause that was an absolute nightmare for far too long. I was without a unit for an entire summer cause of their slow turn around time. I also had some issues with a few of their units. Those things really turned me off to Lowrance products after being a loyal customer for a long time. That and seeing several of my fishing brotheren go through the same ordeals. Lets hope the ships righted and stays that way. Let us know how you like your new unit.
