  1. Nice job, great report. Im headed up on Sunday to fish with Jay D aboard the Salmon Slut. Cant wait!
  2. I used to have the aluminum tite loks. They worked fine for walleye, but i found out quickly that they didnt hold up as well as id hoped for salmon. Ended up busting a couple of the pins. Never lost any rods as the pins cracked and i caught it in time. I will say there were the quick adjust spring loaded pins to save the threading and unthreading. Anyhow, they just couldnt cut it. From there i went to custom rod holders. A buddy of mine was a tool and die maker and built the rod holders i use today. Theyre made from stainless steel and are infinitely adjustable. By far the finest rod holder ive ever seen/used. Theyre attached to the boat via the tite lok track system i already had installed. I had him make me a template and i just drilled and tapped all the tite lok bases and then bolted the holders to them. Im going to add some trees, just been hyme hawing around getting to it. Probably be another custom job.

  4. I agree, sounds like theyre getting deployed too quickly. I usually let out my dipseys using the drag and then i can do other things in the process.
  5. Welcome to the site...Thats a great port. Lots of fish taken there each season. Any questions dont be affraid to ask, lotta guys with good info here. I fish more outta Linwood, but get up that way from time to time.

  8. Great tournament. I fished it last year. Had a pretty high finish too. Wont be attending this years event. Good luck to all that are fishing.

  11. Glad you finally got your boat back Nels and great job on the fish. Did they ever find the four wheeler you hit out there?
