I only run two riggers and with the way the corners of the transom are laid out theyre not strait out the back. I have a seat/battery and seat/oil tank compartments on each corner. So to ease setting lines i mounted them about 2' forwards of the transom along the gunnel in a track system. Anyhow, i run them on 36" booms i believe, at a 45*. I have plenty of clearance. Only time it seems they get close is if theres a nasty current. Then i need to change directions anyhow. And when i set my dipseys i always seperate them by at least 1 1/2 numbers. When im setting I toss the bait in the water, then swing the diver out with the rod length and drop it in. Once it starts to plane i stick it in the holder and loosen the drag so it pays line out evenly. Goes out without issue.

I run Daiwa Heartland rods for my divers. Inside wire roller rods are 8'6" and the outside braid divers are 9'10" i believe. No issues deploying the dipseys or problems with tangles.

Nice job. Im surprised you got out. Apparently that wind wasnt blowing over there like it was on this side of hte state. Had a nasty NWer all day long.

What size dipesys are you running? Seems like youd get a really bad bow in the planer line pulling four #1's or Mags set on zero. Ecspecially with a mag ring on there. Im also curious as to what kind of planer boards your towing. Seems like youd need something with a rudder system to keep the line tight and the boards out to the side. Reason i say that is we used to pull 6 lines a side with crawler rigs when i worked on the charter boat and we used a set of 48" long 1x10" boards with a rudder system to keep the bow outta 6 pas crawler connection rigs or inlines running at slow speeds of 1.0-1.5. It also kep the boards to the side and not lagging behind so much.

Thats great Jason. Glad your up and running. Im sure thats gotta give you piece of mind after battling this issue the last couple weeks. Matt, The Bay fishing is still pretty good, but certainly not as good as the last few years IMO. Fish seem small this year and there seems to be a lack of consentration. More isolated pods and if you find a pod that wants to play ball you better stay on em.

I wouldnt do it. Just way too much drag. How would you ever trip the diver with an inline board if you just wanted to bring it in? It would be a total disaster, i would not advise it. They do it with the Big Jon Mini Disks, jet divers but theyre an all together different animal. As mentioned, save the boards for core, copper, snap wieghts, etc.
