  1. Right back at ya. Merry Christmas everyone.
  2. Oh, im sure they will. They are without a doubt one of the top, if not the top walleye oriented stores in the state. They have it all....Hurts the pocket book to live 10 miles away though!!!
  3. I dont know anyone that has one that doesnt love it. Im getting one this year myself.
  4. A friend of mine fishes Higgins last ice for smelt and knocks the daylights outta them. Good eats for sure!!!
  5. Believe me, i really wanted to splurge. Passed on some other items i wanted....Man was it tough at those prices!!!!
  6. LOL....I did that myself. Got a new GPS, Lakemaster Chip for it, RAM mount, case, 12 volt cords for quad..... a new digital camera, extra battery, case, extra SDHC cards....Tough to pass up the good deals on things you want while your out shopping for others.
  7. Late doe season is on private ground only in appropriate DMU or on SGA that have a special antlerless season. You can use firearms in those instances, outside that i believe its archery equipment only with the use of the appropriate tags for either bucks or does. What became of the deer? Hopefully you were issued a tag and it was utilized.
  8. Welcome aboard.....Awesome tree by the way!
  9. If your rods run down the gunnel your farthers board from the boat rod will be placed in the furthested forward rod holder. If your fishing trees, it goes in the top holder. Then when you get a fish, up and over all the others and you fight the fish....Your doing it right.
  10. I seem to have missed this post myself. Looks like a wonderful fall day filled with fish...Nice work.
  11. I tie my own as well. Some are made with flashabou and are normally longer and bulkier. They have their days. I also build them from banded mylar, and they start out thick and end up pretty thin. They seem to whack the fish the more they get worn.
  12. No problemms for me. Came right up. Worked quickly too. Windows 7 is sweet....I agree on their search function...it sucks!
  13. I concure...Did well on these with long leads on the wire as well with mag dipseys.
  14. I heard its out. Its in a cut off the Saginaw River. They can get any rig they want directly too it. I figured the hold up was getting a crane big enough here to get it out.
  15. Fantastic!!!....Dont get mjuch better:thumb:
  16. Not this past season, cause i didnt fish that much, but the year before i did really well on my own meatless teaser version. Ran them behind an 11" Fish Catcher or a 10" SD. Had a smoking bite on them 100-160' down. White blades/glow tape and either green or blue glow flies. Id have to check, but i think my whole rig was 48" from tip of loop to bend in hook.
  17. Nicely done J BONE
  18. To answer your question....NO....Belly up duck.....any bands? She's been around for awhile...pretty cool to get that info back. I got a mallard this year that was banded in Thunder Bay, Ontario in Oct. 2007...Love bands/collars, what a story they tell....Got a collared goose once too.
  19. Pretty cool encoutner Ed. Great thing you did there. Did you happen to write down the collar info and report it to the bird band people. They would love the info on the whereabouts of the bird at the time of encounter for their studies.
  20. I had some great luck on the #3 and #5 jigging raps in glow tiger last year. Ecspecially the second half of the season. I like to take the hook off and add a muskie shop fast snap in size 1 and then put on a #8 premium treble hook. Tip with a perch minnow or 1/2 perch minnow body worked great. Getting the hook away from the body seemed to help my hook up to land ratio significantly....Do jiggers were a stong suit for me again last winter. Chart/silver, chart/kelly green, pearl/chart are amongst some favorites...size #1. Cant wait for you to come over Steve. Will be fun. Remember those scoops Rick made? Dont get caught with your hand in the cookie jar...lol
  21. Merry Christmas to you as well....Love winter.
  22. I think Franks in Linwood is pretty competitive on their pricing. I prefer the Silver Horde Ace Hi Plug over the J Plug, but thats just my preference. Strong trend the last few years favoring this plug or those that have copied its design.
