  1. Hey Aaron, welcome aboard
  2. Nice job Jason.
  3. Cant go wrong with the Offshore realeaseas. If i remember correctly jayd runs his with the medium offshore on the front and the red offshore on the rear. I do know this, they worked great when i was out on his boat. Too bad the fish didnt pull em back more that day! Still had fun though.
  4. Thast what i do. Nice and smooth and trouble free.
  5. Yes job Grant....Thats a long haul!
  6. Well, despite the gang buster fishing on the east side ive stuck it out on the west side of the pond. Been real tough for us. Had some skunked trips and the last few we're finally getting closer to succsess. Caught a bunch of undersized fish on Thursday evening. Fished again Saturday. Found a bunch of fish in 23', but they were pretty unreluctant to bite. Not sure if the storm had em shut down or what. Theyd chase it all over, but just wouldnt commit. Buddy and I managed to pull 5, but only a couple keepers for our efforts. Man, was that storm ugly. A complete white out for nearly the entire day. Some friends went out there today and got into them pretty good, so im lookign forward to my return trip to that area. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon.
  7. Boy the shad really did well this year. Massive amounts reported in Lake Michigan, huron, st. clare, erie....big die offs recently...lotta food out there.
  8. Welcome aboard.
  9. Comes down to personal preference really. I like the inline boards, theyre just more effiscient and store allot better. JMO though.
  10. Looks like some fine times to me!
  11. You can put tons of verticle tension on, but have a hair trigger on the release. Thats the nice thing about a chamberlines. I used them on another boat and have the blacks on mine. I have not changed from blacks to chamberlines as i dont see the need personally.
  12. Nice job wheeler
  13. Great report. Fishing seems to be tough all over the bay right now. Wouldnt be suprised if he seen a salmon...someone caught one outta Lindies last winter. Pretty good one too. I see them in the Kawkawlin River some years and thats definitely not a known salmon river!!!
  14. Awesome...That sounds like a hoot
  15. Great job Joe...Sounds like a fine day on teh lake.
  16. Look great Jim
  17. Another vote for Tuna Toms Reel Trouble. Located at the rear of Captain Chucks in Ludington.
  18. I like the Daiwa 47's...1000' of 30# wire fits perfectly. I also use their 8'6" Heartland Roller rod. Have had great luck with that combo. Added the power handles this year and whatta difference they made. Also, tunas drags are off the chart!
  19. I call that action packed....AND some great eats.
  20. Its worth the pain!!!
  21. I usually get a few a year and thats about it. Most come on spoons on the riggers and cores for me. The ones ive caught on flasher fly combos have been on deeper sets for Kings. A couple that come to mind are 80' down on a rigger with a SD/Fly and another on a wire 200' back with a mag 5" flashabou fly i tiede behind a SD. The one on the wire was a nice fish going just shy of 13#. Thought for sure it was a king the way it hit. Its just thrashed it Altough deep, it didnt take it long to make it to the top and go ape chit! .
  22. Anyone running a GK Goose call. Looking at the Giant Killer, Little Giant Killer, and Canuck. Looking for some feedback. They seem to get good reviews. They all sound sweet. The LGK has my attention though. I really love the sound. http://www.gkcalls.com/
  23. Nicely done bob
