  1. It's hard to beat West Harbor of Lake Erie for quantity of bass. This trip you will get to see lots of aerial views of the harbor that you may have not fished before. Great place to kayak, or even big enough for bass club tournaments. It's gets tons of pressure, but somehow still produces all year long. This particular day was a Monday at the end of June. Tons of fishing pressure over the weekend, and still, lots of bass boats on Monday. I did some minor tweaking of lures and came up with a good combination to put lots of bass in the boat. Thank goodness for old lure that the bass probably hadn't seen that much. If you're looking for a break from the winter blues. Come along for the sights, sounds, and some fishing on the Great Lakes. #WestHarbor #LakeErie #bassfishing #bass #ohio #outdoors #news #fish #bass #lake #erie #GreatLakes West Harbor Lake Erie Bass Fishing Video Click Here
  2. Walleye and bass fishing Lake Erie Catawba Island area September 28th. The video below was a fun day on the lake. For some crazy reason the walleye was right up on the shoreline. Guys were catching them from shore this particular day. The baitfish must have been pushed in there good. Maybe something to check out until the ice comes back for fishing. 3. I was finally able to meet up with my good buddy Jim from northeast Ohio. We stuck to fishing East Harbor of Lake Erie for the day. Man does that harbor hold some fish! East Harbor Lake Erie Video Click Here
  4. I was scouting out new areas at the mouth of the Maumee River and western end of Lake Erie. You sure do fish lots of dead water when scouting, but when you find new areas holding fish it sure is rewarding. Lake Erie and Maumee River Fishing Video Click Here
  5. It's crazy in the past year I've saved two seagulls on Lake Erie. The first one had a reef runner stuck in its feet. This one was tangled in something completely different. It managed to get a couple good pecks in before I was able to release it. Luckily, I was able to capture it on video. Saved Seagull Video Link

  6. Jim and I took a fishing trip to Lake Erie last Saturday. The fishing wasn't fantastic, but the day on the water was certainly fun. We fished lots of areas that would be good for a small boat or kayak. The interactions with people on the water remind me of what I like about fishing. There are lots of good folks out there. Hope you enjoy video. https://rumble.com/v1g18rt-lake-erie-bass-fishing-largemouth-august-2022.html?mref=66lt3&mc=9e0fe
  7. I had the pleasure of fishing Crooked lake a little over a week ago. Water was crystal clear and there was no breeze at all. I was able to stick some decent fish and took some aerial views of the lake. Crooked Lake Video Click Here
  8. Here is a modification you can make to a bladed jig to catch more bass. Worth trying if you haven't before. How To Make a Bladed Jig Modification Video
  9. It's not too often you can fish the Great Lakes with topwater and get away with it. It's usually too rough, or the seagulls are trying to eat your lure. This day it seemed like it was the only thing the bass would eat. Lake Erie Topwater Fishing Video
  10. Early spring fishing on Lake Leelanau for smallmouth. Some surprise trout and walleye caught too. Lake Leelanau Fishing Video
  11. Have any of you fished this lake in Michigan? It's one of the best topwater bite lakes I've come across in the state. Best Froggin Lake in Michigan Video
  12. What a fun place to fish! This place has so many places to catch bass there isn't enough time in the day to check them all out. Come along with me as I check out Sandusky Bay of Lake Erie and see what it has to offer. Sandusky Bay Bass Fishing Video

  13. Anyone know the best time of year to hit Little Traverse Bay? I took the vacation a little too early again this year. Water was still too cold for the smallmouth to be moved up. Caught a ton, but the big ones were missing. Little Traverse Bay Video
  14. Anyone lose a reef runner? My buddy and I came across this seagull that had a treble hook in each foot. We decided to tackle the problem and help the bird out. Seagull Saved From Certain Death Video
  15. Curious what the oddest thing you have caught is? My buddy hooked a seagull when it dive bombed his topwater lure. Comical series of events as he reeled it in. Video below. Fisherman Hooks Seagull Video
  16. Post spawn fishing trip and hitting lots of water along the way. Catching big smallmouth, largemouth, pike, and other species. Come along and see where we fished and what we caught them on. Hope you enjoy the video. Takes lots of time and effort to put these together. Tight lines. Detroit River, Lake Erie, Huron River Fishing

  17. I had plans to fish Monday, but that went by the waistside. I did watch the coast guard doing practice runs in those waves. Those guys are pretty amazing what they can go out in. Took some video shots from Charlevoix and Petoskey. Little Traverse Bay was much nicer today. Lake Michigan Gale Force Winds
  18. My buddy Jim had an earlier vacation this year than prior years we went up north. We figured it shouldn't affect to fishing to much, but man we wrong there. Finding the fish pre-spawn was much more difficult. Weather patterns were terrible to fish in as well. This particular day (May5th) the water surface temperature as running 43 degrees and air temperature in the morning was 29 degrees. It was a real roll of the dice this year going early. Each day we fished was a grind, but we did manage to catch some decent smallmouth and walleye, but certainly not in the numbers we would have liked. I'm headed back up in about 3 weeks. I'm thinking the fish will be post spawn then. I may have to try Traverse Bay or Little Traverse. This Charlevoix video below has some aerial views of the lake, underwater shots, and of-course some good fish catches. Lake Charlevoix Smallmouth Fishing
  19. Jim and I put together a video from a couple weeks ago on Lake St. Clair. You will get a nice aerial view of the lake along with some nice fish catches in this video. Hope you enjoy. Lake St Clair Video
  20. The Lake Erie walleye and some Lake St. Clair walleye are running up the Maumee River now. Water level is really low and clear. Tons of anglers out. Check out this video. Maumee River Walleye River Run
  21. I took the boat for a quick maintenance run yesterday out of Sterling State Park. The walleye anglers must be getting them shallow by the number of boats I seen trolling the shallow water near the banks. Here is a drone view of Lake Erie and Brest Bay and the guys out walleye fishing. Lake Erie Brest Bay Sterling State Park Aerial View
  22. Ice is gone. Now we just need the whole lake to open up. Watch for those logs that come down the river and end up in the lake. Maumee River Providence Dam View
  23. Fall fishing on Lake Erie. East winds are never good, but sometimes it can be a blessing when it forces you to fish somewhere you didn't plan on. I'm sure those that fish Lake Erie might recognize this area. Hope you enjoy the video, and good luck to you on the water this year. Lake Erie Fall Fishing
  24. The big walleye run on the Maumee River is almost here. The walleye have been tracked from Lake Huron, St. Clair and Lake Erie. Anglers come from far way for this big run. It's only a couple months away. I took some aerial footage of the river when the water level was way down. I did this of the best walleye spots so anglers could find those sweet honey holes.
