We set lines around 6:30 and hit a fish but lost it in 90 fow, we fished out to 120 and back into 38 fow taking 5 fish all together 3 in 90 fow,1 in 120 fow 1nd 1 in 60 fow, 60 down ,the water temps were cold ! we had 43 deg down 45 out in 120 and climbing so we turned back, then it went to 45 deg down 30 inside of 90 all the way into 38 fow we picked one 4 yr old in 60 fow then it was dark every thing came on dodgers and flies and j-plugs.

ps i may not see recent or new post my home computer is at the repair shop it wont boot up any more.

never wrap your flies around your dodgers this creates kinks in the line that refract light and shortens the leads . run glow spoons all day!

I just made what i call my dodger bazooka, a piece of pvc wit holes in one end for the hooks and small bugees on the other end to hook to the dodgers this way i can store them put together and not kink my floro carbon leaders.i will have a pic as soon as i can perfect the design. jimmy

I just got a report of guys getting lots of fish in 170 to 225 out of grand haven. jimmy

we checked the temp in 50 fow and found it 70 deg all the way down to the bottom.

Fished out of holland last nite ,the cold water has moved out:(,we fished from 80 to 170 and found the only cold water down 75,we ended up with 2 fish 1 laker and one king on glow fire dog jp slammer in 90 fow,80 down.

we had 4 of those fish before the tourney started ,but we also quit fishin at 10:15 so we had lots of time to bang out some more . Next year i will be in the brc!

We ended up 9 for 10 with 2 browns,2 steelies,and 5 kings ,we fished in 50to60 fow 45 to 50 down. this is what worked for us. 2 on beef eater jp slammer on rigger, 1 on mnt.dew flasher with mirage flie on rigger down 40 , 2 on mnt.dew dodger with mirage flie on high diver back 125 1 on white on white dodger with green flie on high diverback 100 1 on green glow with black ladderback j plug on 150 copper, 1 on purple wonder bread glow silver horde plug on 150 copper, 1 on orange high ball jpslammer on 5 color, 1 on mi. sunset jp slammer on 5 color. a nice day to be out there i guess i should have been in the big red classic,I would have had biggest brown and steelie i think.and would have prob. been in the money oh well maybe next year i can afford it.

Fished Holland last nite ,went 5 for 7 in 70to80 fow. what worked. Dodgers and flies! White with green ,green with green flies,white paddle with green flies get the picture all white and green combo's. We did have a couple of hits on spoons but both fish came unbuttoned.Glow fire dog,and halo blue dolphin jp slammers.The current was rippin to the north had to crawl goin south to get good speed.

Fished last nite out of holland ,went 5for7 3 kings and 2 steelhead.fished in 60 to 70 fow ,what worked 200 copper with cut throat jp slammer, white paddle with green flie down 50 on rigger , high diver and low diver,with wite dodgers green flies, and glow fire dog on 250 copper. was a great nite on the lake ,I had some guys from minnesota on board so they had fun.

Sunday sucked we went out in the eve. and fished 3-5's with a 6 thrown in for fun we only caught two lakers one on beef eater slammer and on on dodger and fliewe quit by 9:00 cus we had enoughof that crap!

good job Marty,thats wierd about the plastic bag i will store that one away in case i have a similar problem.

went out of holland last nite ,ended up 8 for 12 all kings. fished 70 to 110 fow with 110 ft. being the best.things that worked. GLOW FIRE DOG JP Slammer went 7 times.on rigger and 225 copper nbk slammer went once on rigger 50 down mod. killer picle had a rip white echip with pickle sunshine went once on deep diver 115 back green echip with green flie went once on high diver 225back beef eater went once on rigger 55 down saw just hookin on the way out (nice rig) the lake laid down nicely and was very comfy by the time we came in. jimmy
