well got out in the field again today only had to be out 45 minutes:D,i had to call them in today they were headed elswhere but we got our 4 geese.After we got out of the field about 300 more came,they spent a couple of hours there and moved on. here is a couple of pics lookin out from the shop at the field the one has my deeks in it yet I was un able to get out there to take pics of the field when it was full of geese. Im going to hit it again on Sat. there a lot of un educated geese coming in yet.

Well set up the deeks before work ,went out at 8:00 and there was 100 geese in with my decoys:Dso i snuck into my blind ,did not bump any birds,watched them for 15 minutes or so and nice pair flew over 15 yrds up and I just could not resist:rolleyes:, took them both.Went back to work to clean the birds and looked back as 300 or so more birds landed into the field.Guess were i will be tomarow morning again! Sorry no pics maybe tomarow. jimmy

15 minute or so from the dnr launch, there is another launch on the south side by the parkway resteraunt, that dock stays in all year.

Well we did not do as good as dirty dog but we did ok today,I had Paul, Just Hookin Mark and Nick C on board this mourning we fished from 7 am till 11 am . we fished 120 to 220 with 180 to 220 being the best ,we ended up with 6 steel head and lost one laker (long distance release) and one steel head that became wrapped up and finally the hooks pulled out. things that worked : mixed veggies mini jp slammer on 5 color took 1 fish and 1 hit jj special jp slammer on 3 color took 2 fish a multi colored glow jp slammer on 150 copper took 2 fish mountain dew e chip with pickle sunshine flie on high diver 200 back took 1 fish white on white echip with pickle sunshine 175 back took 1 hit laker Thanks guys for going along today what a great day on the water it felt like late may.

great job u guys!!! We had a great mourning to felt like the end of may out there!

I dont drain the engine block,it should also be full of anti freeze thats why you let it run long enough to come up to running temp before you run the antifreeze into the system.It would not hurt to drain it though.

I heard the charter boats did very well in 200 -240 fow this weekend out of grand haven.

Fished out of holland tonite, went 1 for 2 both lakers one on 5 color with mixed veggies and one on 300 copper with beef eater.the water temp at the pier head was 46 deg at the surface with a 43 deg. down temp and was this cold out to 80 fow where there was a 10 deg temp break! surface went to 56 deg we fished this area for while with only the two lakers then went to saugy piers and made a few pass's there with nothing.This ,may be my last trip this year , not sure, I keep being told to be patient the steelhead will come, we will see, i guess if they do we may go again.The DNR pulled all but one dock out of the water:( and they have shut down the fish cleaning station to.

I fish the east side of the lake mainly Holland .

Bummer Aaron! I hate it when that happens, like when you pull a motor to fix oil leaks and you end up spending 2 g on a new rebuild It SUCKS! BOAT: Break Out Another Thousand! BUT it will be worth it in the end! Jimmy

we fished from 1.4 to 2.0 and 2.0 seemed to be prefered .I talked to a buddy today that had a charter this morning and they got 19 lakers again in that 85 to 115 fow of water.Just a couple of more days to fish for them ,I may try and get out agin Thursday for one more wack at em.Then its time to find steelies!
