thats a sticky one but i think if you are fishing you all have to be licensed if 17 or older maybe a local officer will chime in here or someone who has been in this situation before.A one day license would do it.

well i did it, bit the bullet and went on a charter today for red fish and trout, went with my father in law, had a blast we fished with shinners on 7 foot med action rods with power pro and floro leaders .ended up getting 4 reds each and several trout !:grin:two reds were just under 30 " and around 9 lbs they fought like nice kings with nice long runs.

got a snook today off the beach along with a jack carevell and several lady fish again it was near 90 today way to hot for this fat boy:D LOL

ya what erik said ^^^^^ its a weird year thats for sure normally we would just be getting on the lake and would still have lots of junk and maybe even ice to watch out for.

Hey every one its sunny and 80 here on anna maria island , got here yesterday after a couple long days on the road. got my license and was fishing within 2 hours ,second cast i caught a jack carevele, then a couple lady fish, got up this morning started to catch lady fish again then bam a nice spotted sea trout, then a few more cast and another one took off! Wohoo first sea trout ive caught they are pretty fun, i will be here all week and hope to catch some other fish,cobia,and reds have been cruising the sand bar so im gonna try hard to get one:thumb: im gonna try to go on an intercoastal charter for reds,snook,and trout thursday.

a free slider is about 6 ft. of line with two snap swivels on it put a lure on one end and hook the other end to yor main line after its to depth and it will slide down to the "Bellie" about half way down when you get fish on it you need to popit and reel like mad to get things tight.

great weekend catch Phil I thuaght it was wierd that you were having trouble getting fish, we had the same thing,its important to keep checking lines when in these little cohos thats for sure.

those are jp minis i had left over from the past i do not have a new die yet so we are not selling them , hope to build one this coming winter we do very well on them all season.We do run the larger ones that way to, we call it "old school" cus thats the way we started out running them but found them to be more speed tolerant pulled from the small end. jimmy
