  1. Joel, I haven't fished in over a week. 26-29 FOW is where I'd start. I run bouncers and harnesses.

  2. Buster, Don't tell everyone.
  3. Nice video.
  4. Downriggers if you have them and light bite Slide divers rigged fixed.
  5. Dave, A warm welcome to you. You quickly recognized what this site is all about.
  6. Of course you all know that the inner bay walleye fishing is done. Y'all remember what everyone was saying. I had a very good crew of some grumpy old guys and we were able box 20 this morning. Big Jack W, Skip S, Ken W, and I run my usual force feed em KISS method. we fished 25-29 FOW pulling 2 oz bouncers with harnesses off of ten boards and two rods with 3 oz bouncers with out boards. We scraped these fish off the bottom. 20 eyes and 5 perch. A huge purple homemade smile blade, a glow chartreuse, and a brass and purple did the work. It was kinda slow but so are we. "Get me my walker there's a fish on the outside port board." I gave my walleye away and feasted on the perch. Gitter Done.
  7. Say the word and I'm on my way.
  8. We still had a lot of bait fish on the screen and surface temps were still mid 70s. Both of them are keys.
  9. It was a tough ticket to punch but Tom D, Don B, Skip S, and I hung in there to punch a four man ticket with 5 bonus perch. Started in 25-26 FOW and did OK at times. Finished in 31-35 FOW. It was tough at first and got tougher as the wind and waves died. Bouncers and meat. Purple on brass, Copper, and chartreuse glow, did some damage. I gave my walleye to someone that needs it and kept the perch.
  10. We did a shakedown on a friends boat. We had trouble with the sonar and fished blind. We used my rigs and took a slow limit in 25 FOW. Bouncers and meat of course. Glow tiger and copper with purple were good. There were few boats out and most struggled. 3 of us set lines at noon and fished until 5. It was slow but a few things in this life are better slow. Remember, "When you limit out the fun stops". 1.5 MPH bouncers and meat. I donated my 5 fish again. I fished 4 days this week and will make it 5 if we can get out Sat. Thanks Joe A for the ride. It was nice fishing with John S.
  11. I hate to admit it but Don is exactly right. Customer service has to start with a reasonable customer. You can have a problem with anything or anybody. Giving them a chance to rectify a problem is the thing to do and it will pay off most of the time. Going off half cocked will get you no where.
  12. Don, Very good thread. Thanks for posting the great pics.
  13. Nothing speaks louder than a customer with a problem. When the problem is rectified at no cost it speaks volumes for a stand up company.
  14. Mon, July 30: I fished with Roger L, Don B, and Joe A, and put 16 walleye to rest and 11 bonus perch. Most of the fish we are catching now are either definite throw backs or very nice chunky fish. The perch yielded two pounds of skinless filets. 26 FOW 1.3 to 1.5 MPH pulling 2 and 3 oz bouncers with home tied harnesses. A big purple homemade smile did some damage as well as a glow tiger. It's not easy picking but with a little work fish can be had. I don't mind working when a payday is involved. Tue, July 31: I fished with Paul R (Paperboy), Rich (BuckNDuck), and Rich's Two beautiful kids Emily and Hunter. I think Emily is 9 and Hunter 7. These kids are being raised right and are a pleasure to be around. The kids reeled in most of our 20 fish walleye box. We also had 10 bonus perch. The perch keep finding their way to my table. I gave all my walleye away to someone that really needs it. Most of our eyes didn't need measuring. 1.5 to 1.7 MPH. Thank You Mike V. (Trophy Specialist) for the speed tip later in the afternoon. Ya now what I like, Bouncers and meat. These reports are for the inner Saginaw Bay. A lot of fishermen think the game is over but with a little effort and determination a good box can be had. Who want's easy limits?? Savor the trip and enjoy the day. When you limit out the fun stops.
  15. Fantastic mixed bag. GJ Luke.
  16. Capt. Ken, Keep after them.
  17. Nice work Scotty and Jason.
  18. GJ Wheels. It seemed like a lot folks struggled today. We just tried to capitalize on the bite. Getting lines back in the water quickly pays off.
  19. Tom D, Skip S, Chuck A, and I worked a bit for a four man limit with a couple of bonus perch. I gave my 5 walleye to a neighbor. Bouncers and meat down and dirty. 1.5 MPH in 25-27 FOW. Two homemade purple smiles did a lot of damage. Glow tiger was our second best producer. 2/3 of our box were VN fish that didn't need measuring. We met Tim Ferguson and his daughters at the launch.
  20. Nice work Capt. Ken.
  21. Troy, I just try and get out as much as possible. We never know when we will be reeling in our last one. Don't wait for tomorrow. Do it today. Jump aboard with us. I feel truly blessed every time I hit the water.
