  1. Joe, GJ on the Northerns and Gills.
  2. There is a reason for tying on J-Plugs. If a fish or snag breaks the line the plug portion will float to the surface. Any type of heavy snap-swivel will not allow the plug to separate from the hook rig. You may even be the beneficiary of someones lost plug.
  3. WTG MATT!!!!!!!! Congrats.
  4. A warm Capt. Chris. I'm looking forward to some of you Lake O reports.
  5. Thanks for the reports. I'm delighted to hear the positive reports on the show. A year or two ago there were people saying some negative things. Maybe it was just the economy or some negative people. Personally I always enjoyed this show. I wish I could have been there to see some familiar faces and shake some hands.
  6. Anybody take this show in this past weekend? I didn't go this year and looking for some reports. Thanks
  7. According to the news at 10PM divers recovered a body of a Reese man. Prayers for the family. R.I.P. Here is a link. http://www.wnem.com/story/21449632/divers-recover-body-in-saginaw-bay
  8. Nathan, Nothing like quality time with the kids. Enjoy every minute of it. They grow up way too fast. Thanks for sharing the pics. Nothing like a meal of fresh perch.
  9. Brad, A warm to the GLF site. If ya need anything just holler.
  10. Just take it as it comes. Longer Winters will help with the Lake levels. Cabin fever is getting to me also. Fishon friends.
  11. Nathan, A warm to the GLF site. I live on the other shore of Lake Huron. Draw a line from Goderich just missing the tip of Michigan's thumb and continue to the far shore and you will come close to our place. I'm looking forward to your reports. Just holler if you need any help. People here are always willing to share information.
  12. Jason, GJ and thanks for the report.
  13. Mike, Thanks for the report.
  14. Bob, A warm
  15. The CG Auxiliary was at the AuGres DNR Launch a few years ago doing inspections and making recommendations. The sticker will get you a wave most of the time from the CG. Unfortunately there are so many floating violations that the boat owners aren't aware of. It would also be a good idea if any of you haven't taken the CG Auxiliary or Power Squadron class to do so. It's very evident at the launches and on the water that a good share of the boaters haven't taken the classes. Everything from boat launch etiquette to VHF radios is covered. It's well worth the time and effort.
  16. The beat up one will continue working and will outshine the new ones. Any one ever witness this phenomenon??
  17. Ed, A great catch to wrap up your season.
  18. Technology is grand.
  19. Hi Boat Captains! We're off to a great start for our 2013 event! Many of you have already signed up to be a Boat Captain for this year's Walleyes For Warriors event. Thank you! Hopefully you've found the online registration to be convenient and hassle-free. For those who added comments during registration, please know that we have them and will be responding to you soon with answers to your questions. For those interested in Sponsorship information, our Sponsorship Brochure has now been posted to our website at www.walleyesforwarriors.com/sponsors Please feel free to view it. Regardless, we will still be contacting you in the next few days to specifically respond to your questions/comments. As of Wed Feb 13th at 11:00p, we have 53 Boat Captains signed up for this year's event! Our goal is 80-90 boats, which will allow us to have 160-180 Veterans take part in WFW 2013. So, we're still in need of another 30-40 Boat Captains. Please help spread the word, since we can not open up the Veteran registration until we know how many Boat Captains we will have. Thank you, once again, for your support of Walleyes For Warriors 2013! For those who have registered, we will follow-up with you soon with more information. Sincerely, The WFW Staff
  20. The proposal provides a break for seniors on the deer license but no breaks on the fishing license. A lot of senior breaks have disappeared as the boomers come into that picture. I'm a little too old to be considered a boomer but the boomer generation paid for a lot of senior breaks for a past generation. It seems like on all fronts the perks start disappearing as this large group enters their senior years. Living on a fixed income is tough and getting tougher. Too bad boomers you get no respect and the way it was doesn't apply to you, or a generation that will follow.
