  1. March temps seem to be running below the normal this year. Last years temps were way above the norm. Maybe next year they'll be just right. Maple syrup time.
  2. We all need to be onboard with this one. Personally I feel that separated sewer systems is the answer. Why we ever went with combined sanitary and storm sewers is beyond me. It's like chitting down your well. Every time there is an above average rainfall the news is full of discharges into the Great Lakes and it's tributaries. We made a lot of strides with industrial waste but that needs to be monitored also. I don't like the 2033 deadline. lot of damage can be done in 20 years.
  3. Everyone check your flare dates. That's one thing I need to do next time I crawl aboard Priority1. I usually buy a pack of the 12ga flares. I have a lot of expired hand held and 12ga flares in the boat. Maybe next time I'll update the hand held ones. If anyone has an over abundance of expired flares donate them to the CG. They use them for demonstrations and training.
  4. My main concern was for everyone's safety. The original aluminum ones were repaired a few times. There is a lot of stress where the riser meets the base. The wave action and leverage provided by the riser takes it's toll over the years.
  5. The green machine is eating all rabbits.
  6. I had these ready to go for awhile and got together with my good friend Joe A. who skillfully welded these rod holders and pedestals.
  7. Congrats Matt. You are one of the BIG BOYS.
  8. Right on. Last Winter and Spring was far from the norm. We are still in March and it's still Winter. We can't do anything about the weather except wait it out. When the old man says "It's time Grasshopper" then we go. For the good of everyone I hope we never see another March like 2012.
  9. Louis, A warm
  10. Gotta love it. Nothing like Winter Steel.
  11. Record low water levels for both Lake Michigan and Huron. The Lake Superior watershed has the most effect on these two lakes. I think it's going to be a challenge at most ports this year. Anyone want to get into the prop repair business??
  12. Kyle, Love that chrome.
  13. Herb, A warm Just holler if you need any help.
  14. Rob, A warm to you. Holler if you need any help.
  15. Jess, A warm I'm glad you came out of hiding. I'm looking forward to your reports.
  16. Ed, Love them footballs.
  17. Nick, Good luck on the shoulder surgery. I can relate to that. I hope yours turns out as well as mine has.
  18. Steve, That's the first step. You're admitting you have a problem. Unfortunately you are among a bunch of hopeless junkies. Ya got to have at least one vice.
  19. I've been scratching. The last few years I have been hanging back a bit. The old body seems to work a lil better in the warmer weather.
  20. She's Looking good. It looks like you picked right up on the sewing.
  21. Steve, I'm glad you were able to spend some quality time with the boy. That's what its all about.
  22. Chris, Would you mind elaborating on this a bit? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks:)
  23. Just like most launches especially on the weekends. Buy a boat get a MC number and away you go. No experience necessary. It can be more amusing than the Saturday morning cartoons. I have nothing against beginners but some education should be mandatory.
