  1. It's like a $25 Black Jack table @ the Casino. It eliminates the amateurs and newbies. Play where you feel comfortable.
  2. Hello Boat Captains! It's hard to believe with this weather that in a little over 3 months we'll be taking over 200 Veterans fishing on the Saginaw Bay! This will be our 4th Walleyes For Warriors and, if you've been part of this before, you know how incredible this event is. We have now opened up Boat Captain registration on our website. If you'd like to participate as a Boat Captain at this year's event, please sign up here: http://www.walleyesforwarriors.com/boat-captain-registration.html If you have any questions about being a Boat Captain or about the event in general, please reply to this email or send us a message through our Contact Us page on the website. On behalf of over 200 Veterans who will take part in this year's Walleyes For Warriors - THANK YOU!!! Heads up we can only use the first 110 Captains to sign up. We will also have a few alternates like we usually do. Walleyes For Warriors Staff
  3. Fishing line, rubberbands, and other stuff can cause problems with these pumps. I take mine apart and clean the impeller yearly. I also back flush mine with a garden hose a couple of times a year. Putting a running garden hose on the pumps hull fitting on the side of the boat flushes out some debris most every time.
  4. I formerly used Walkers but have switched to Blacks. The Walkers worked fine for heavier line and big kings. But for lighter line and light biting fish I prefer the Blacks.
  5. Come on Spring.
  6. Wheels, You got it. There is no such a thing as too many rod holders.
  7. Juistin, A warm to the GLF site. That is a nice upgrade. I fish the Saginaw Bay when the weather lets me. I hope to see you out there.
  8. Tim, A warm to the GLF site.
  9. to the GLF site. She sounds like a good boat.
  10. John, Thanks for the fishing report and the heads up on the cracks. Everyone please be careful. This may be a rough Spring if the right conditions unfold. There is far more ice than usual. The right winds can put the inner bay and it's shoreline in a world of hurt.
  11. Don, A warm to the GLF site. That Sea-Ray looks to be very well cared for.
  12. The Apex or other flatfish style lures are used more in the North West part of the country. Some fishermen would use rubber bands to hold meat to the backs of these lures.
  13. A warm to the GLF site.
  14. Rudey, Thanks for sharing. Come on Spring. Here's a couple of pics from Late Spring early Summer 2013 with some familiar faces.
  15. Blake, Nice work on the teasers. They say necessity is the mother of invention. In this case boredom is the father. It's always special to catch fish on your own rigs.
  16. Nothing like going green or more correctly yellow.
  17. Chandler, Good Luck with your new adventure. I'm sure you will do a fine job and I hope someone gives you the chance to prove me right.
  18. It's so cool to see these magnificent ships on the Bay. Bay City does pull out all of the stops and goes all in on a number of different events. Kudos to Bay City.
  19. Anyone wanting to get something going for Lake Superior or Lake Ontario give me a shout. We had a trip to Stannard Rock mapped out a few years ago, but it fell apart one guy at a time. What ever your dreams are try and get them done while you are young enough and in good health. Get the list all checked off and start a new and better list. Ya only go around once.
  20. I know that Four Winns has had excellent care. Nice upgrade. I know you'll go over the new on inch by inch.
  21. I have only one thing to say, "P!$$ on that."
