  1. Nice work Don, We have all been there trying to figure it out. You started slow but finished strong. I have always said it a lot of little things that all have to come together.
  2. GJ sidestepping the confrontation. Boat launches do seem to have an endless supply of goof balls. Holiday weekends are the worst. I try and avoid weekends in general. People that fish the weekdays are usually older and a little more seasoned. Even the weekdays can bring in some jerks that don't have a clue as to proper launch and boating etiquette. The biggest problem is anyone can buy a boat and take it out without having any knowledge of proper etiquette or safe boat handling. Over the years I've seen it all.
  3. GJ and a warm to the GLF site.
  4. WTG Rog and granddaughter. Ya can't give a kid too much fishing. Quality time with the kids is what makes the difference. They grow up way too fast.
  5. Beth and Jason, If that just tasted half as good as it looks, yum yum. I'm glad you are both having a good time.
  6. RIP Capt. Jerry. Prayers go out to his family and friends.
  7. Tom T. and I splashed Priority1 this morning to check the boat out. P1 ran flawlessly high and low speed. We stayed in tight to duck the wind and waves. We pulled a two man limit of eaters running our usual program of bouncers and meat. We only had to contend with 1-2 foot waves but the stiff breeze blew my light hardtop boat around making boat control a challenge but doable. We fished 17-27 fow with the lower end being better. Surface temp was 55 and the fish seemed to like the 1.5 mph speed. We set lines doing about 1-1.2 mph with no takers. I bumped the speed and fish on. We had one tripple and a double. We took fish on all the rods with the two down rods doing more than their share. Color wasn't really a factor. The NW wind is not my favorite but I wanted to get the shakedown behind me. TY Tom for joining me. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/8/7/dsc00653_a_thumb.jpg' alt='dsc00653_a_thumb.jpg'>
  8. SOLD TO MR. DIRTY DOG Thanks Terry.
  9. I'm selling these Blue Diamond Wire Rods for a fishing friend. These rods have been used a maximum of 10 times. They are in VG to excellent condition. I prefer not to ship. I'm in the Au Gres Tawas area. I do get over to Manistee area and sometimes Holland area. $120 for the pair. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/8/7/dsc00652_a_thumb.jpg' alt='dsc00652_a_thumb.jpg'>
