  1. She is a beauty Bob. I'm glad that you finally connected on a good boat.
  2. Bob, You may want to contact John Williams @ Big Jon Sports. Sometimes they have some blems that can save you a buck or 2.
  3. I do the same thing on a swim noodle. One end has short leaders for dipsy rigging etc. The other end has 6 foot leaders for sliders. The swim noodles are cut into 12 inch lengths.
  4. To boil it all down, find out what they want and give em lots of it.
  5. I use 6 foot sliders. Never go longer than your rod lengths, or you will have trouble getting the fish to the net.
  6. Been there Mike. I try and take a few minutes to explain the use of the GPS as well as the compass. I point out the SOG on the GPS and ask them to try and average between 2.5 and 3 MPH. A good wheel man is worth his weight in gold. Of course when we pull crawler harnesses I have the drift bag in and we are aiming at hitting 1 - 1.7 MPH. I have spent hrs explaining the plotter screen, and the point where the boat is, only to have some drivers run the boat in circles. I have had some steer the boat off the compass, and go 350 degrees in one direction rather than 10 degrees in the other to get back on course. I never thought it was that difficult, but to some it must be. If there is a fixed point like a light or even the sunrise it's easier to have them keep the boat pointing at it while you set up.
  7. GJ Nick. I'm getting real itchy to reel in a King. I'm not sure I'll be able to wait until my usual L8 July & August trips. It's prime Walleye time.
  8. WTG Shu. I'm going to see if I can get a crew for tomorrow. I just got on the PC to check the weather.
  9. GJ Terry. I need some King action bad. It's been since Sept. I'll just have to fill up on Walleye, and wait until Late July to make a Salmon run.
  10. 13-1/4 X 17P, 13 Splines, #382764 OMC Prop in good condition. $45 The price is less expensive than having one repaired.
  11. Hey Rich, Ill give it a whirl. I have a 5# bag of Drakes Mix, that I will use instead. SHAKE AND BAKE GOOD BUDDY:grin: TYVM. Throw a few frozen French fries on another pan, and cook at the same time.
  12. Too many boats on the weekends, especially holiday weekends. I seldom go anywhere on a holiday weekend. It may be fun just to go down to the launch site and watch. Better than Saturday morning cartoons.
  13. 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and after 4:00 PM:)
  14. You guessed er Chester. It's one of the outside riggers.
  15. Well batting 500 is GR8 in baseball. It's nice to get the shakedown cruise under your belt. We have been doing well with crawlers on the Saginaw Bay. I'm sure if you didn't have the battery terminal problem, you would have did much better.
  16. A warm welcome 2 U Matt. We knock down some Walleyes on the Saginaw Bay. We Also make a few trips each year to Manistee. You will like here. Join us in the chat room Mon @ 8PM
  17. VN indeed.
  18. I agree Dan. The former Hoyles will keep improving. John Gorm done some work for me when he was @ GLs. He knows boat service inside out, and will go the extra distance when required. I think the new owners have what it takes to make Hoyles better than ever. The place started to go down hill fast when the old man died. GL to the new owners.
