GJ Terry. Nice fish. When these Sag Bay Walleyes slow down, I'll be looking for my Salmon Fix. I'm addicted to the rigger wire whine, and the screaming reels. Can't wait.

Letting out the 100 or so feet of backer will not get you any deeper that the 5 ft per color. You need to run this backer out a ways to get the full 5 ft per color, and to have some line to hook the planer boards up.

WTG Dan. We have been running a mix of gulp and the real thing off harnesses. I may just give the other gulp stuff a whirl sometime. We pulled a 3 man limit this AM. I'll be out again tomorrow. Chartreuse was their favorite color today.

One of these years I would like to drag Priority1 over to Lake Ontario and fish for a couple of weeks in August. We have been doing fantastic on Walleye this year. It's getting close to the time when I will start targeting Salmon, then Lake Perch. I have 2 friends going out with me tomorrow AM. That is one sweet boat you have Bob. But you know I'm partial towards Islanders.

GJ Jason. We only managed 5 today. We had 3 come undone right near the boat. We also threw back a few. I run a drift bag to slow me down if needed. This was not our best day, but we always have fun.

VN Shu. You will like that. I run a similar set up off my rocket launcher, mounted on my hardtop. Two 55 watt halogens will light the back up like daylight.

WTG Dan. We are still running harnesses with the real thing and Gulp. We started today in 2 to 3 footers that built to 3 to 4s. We only managed 5 keepers. Fri and Sat 3 man limits and Sunday 11 keepers. Sunday was tough conditions also. Fri Sat Sun on the water so Mon I took a break. LOL It's a tough job but someone has to do it. Gotta Luv That Sag Bay.

GJ JWheeler, We have been pounding the Sag Bay also. I have used the rubber bands before and sometimes even a very large walleye will hookup and just swim with the boat. We pulled 3 man limits on Fri, & Sat and 11 fish on Sun. Sun it built quickly to 3 and 4 footers. We had a 4 yo onboard and hung it up early. Gotta Luv the Sag Bay.

3 person limit Friday and Saturday. I'm going again tomorrow if the weather is right. Harnesses with Gulp did well along with the real thing. Color didn't seem to be a factor. I was showing my son how to set things up. We had 2 fish before we got set up, and shortly after that we had the first of two triples. Get em while it's hot on the Saginaw Bay.

What Tad said. Generally I try and average 2.7 MPH SOG on the GPS. I also watch the bend in my Dipsy Rods and the angle of the downrigger cables. I also use a Fish Hawk with speed and temp. @ the ball. All this information helps to fine tune a presentation.

Welcome aboard Bob. I know you will like it here. I fish Lake Huron and it's Saginaw Bay, with a few trips a year to Lake Michigan. I fish for Walleye, Salmon, and Lake Perch. I do boat some Browns, Lakers, and Steelhead also. I always wanted to fish the August Salmon runs on Lake Ontario. I know there is always a quite a few monsters taken.

Rich, Try some Blue Dawn Dish Detergent. It would be a good time to swab your deck with a strong mix of this stuff and water, and let it drain into the bilge. Keep the plug in, and pump off. Fill the bilge up as much as possible and let this mix set for an hour or two, then drain. The original Dawn has a distinct clean smell and cuts petroleum stuff well. Frank

I was out in that area also, and it was slower for us than in the past. I had some green horns aboard that slowed us up a little. It was a nice day on the water and I got to see a 10 yo boy catch his first and several more Walleye after that. It don't get any better that. Success is not always about numbers. We did take a few fish off riggers on some standard SS spoons a few feet off bottom and 15 ft back. Still pulling crawlers off inline boards.

WTG Ray. We are knocking them on the Sag Bay also. It just don't get any better than that. I would rather spend my time with a boat under my A$$ than on a golf course any day. Gotta Luv it.

Another 2 man limit on the Sag Bay. This 9# 30-1/2 inch Walleye, took a 2 blade crawler harness Orange and Brass color. 32 FOW fishing close to the bottom. We were running around 1.5 MPH GPS in a zig zag course. Off Shore inline boards. We had a limit by 10 AM. You have to love the Sag Bay.

Boxed another 18 today. Walleye again for dinner today. Still running harnesses, but we took a couple on a jointed Rapala.

Ditto on the Swim Noodle. I have been using them for awhile. I have 4 of them about a foot long loaded with crawler harnesses, and a couple with my slider and flasher leaders.
