  1. Dave, All you need is Joe and his lucky fish hook. GL in Ludington, my second favorite Lake Michigan port.
  2. GJ HTRN. It's always good to retrace some steps from the past.
  3. That would have worked well to cover your scent from the deer.
  4. I'm going to keep looking in on this. I would like to learn how to set up a Web Site. I taught myself about the computer. Six years ago I didn't know how to turn one on. There are a lot of tutorials on just about everything. My wife and I started with computers the same time, but she doesn't want to know any more than what she has to. I like to keep on learning. Thanks for posting this Mike.
  5. Fantastic Phil & Adam. I will not give up on fishing until the weather forces me to. I like to see people enjoying the outdoors. I pretty much hole up during the Winter. I froze my A$$ off too many times. I may just set up a shanty this year and give the hard water fishing a try. I know you and Adam will have a blast on the sleds.
  6. WTG Captain Jon. Love it when a plan comes together.
  7. WTG Captain Bill. I will not put my boat away for good until the weather forces the issue. Wishin I was salmon slammin.
  8. Been awhile since I hunted squirrel. I always got tuned up for deer hunting with the bush tails. Like Cazz, I always preferred my 22 for this sport. We have a lot of the black squirrels around here. They are much smaller than the fox squirrels I used to hunt.
  9. Nice bucks Brek.
  10. LMAO. I haven't had my boat out since before Labor Day. My last outing was Manistee. I have been catching up on some chores I let slide. I changed the oil in my boat today, but that doesn't mean that I'm laying it up. I'll get back in the groove.
  11. GJ Brek. Love it when a plan comes together.
  12. WOW!!!!! 1000 Members. It's a GR8 place to share information.
  13. Welcome to the site Deanna & Alan. I know you will like it here. I fish Lake Huron and it's Saginaw Bay for walleye. I also make a few trips a year to Lake Michigan for some Salmon Slammin.
  14. Yes they are.
  15. WTG Marv. and Howdy EP FB. I'm old and slow. I sure hope I don't get my A$$ kicked for calling him that.
  16. DAYUM:) Story of my life. A day late and a $ short.
  17. Unlike the old dodgers the flashers can be run at least 3.5 MPH. They may be able to handle even higher speeds but I haven't run them faster than 3.5. Most of the time I run 2.5 - 3.2 MPH. You need at least a couple feet of lead ahead of the flasher to allow them to work. I have run them as close as 8 feet behind the ball. Most of the time I try to run the flashers within 10 ft. of the ball. The flashers do take up some room side to side, so running them tight avoids tangles on turns. Most of the time if I'm going to run 2 flashers they will be on my Dipsys. I have had flashers on two of the Dipsys and a Big 11 inch flasher on one of the inside riggers. It depends on what gets hot.
  18. I noticed my hull was dirtier than normal after my Muskegon trip. I'm not trying to imply anything, but I do think the build up on all hulls is greater near large industrial cities. Even the natural stuff on hulls will sloooooooow U down.
  19. GJ Dan. I'm glad you got to do a lil Salmon Slammin.
  20. These same bastards will take the siding off homes while the owners are on vacation. The court system fails society most of the time. The people responsible for these destructive acts, get slaps on the wrist. It's a dirty shame.
  21. Mike, Do you keep that fish in the same closet with your blow up doll. I thought so.
  22. U betcha:) If it's a Walleye tournament the Saginaw Bay RULES. One suggestion if we do go for walleye please let us run crawler harnesses, even if they must be pulled behind a Stinger Spoon. Give em meat, and even people unfamiliar with the area will catch fish. The harnesses will produce even when spoons and cranks do not.
  23. I almost got to fish one of the WM events, but the weather didn't cooperate that day. Cazz made a good call the day before and called off the tourney. It was still VN to be in Muskegon and meet some of the members. I'll never forget the storm that moved through that Sun. morning. I was high and dry in the back of my truck. Some of our gang in tents didn't fair so well. I know what it takes to put a tourney together, but Cazz put a whole string of them together. Hats off to you Rich. Back to the weather I pulled into Muskegon Friday 5:AM to pre-fish and the fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife. There was no way I was going out being unfamiliar with the port. We had to wait for the fog to burn off. Anyone wanting to fish the Saginaw Bay for some Walleye give me a shout. June is by far the best month to do that. All you have to do is drive over.
  24. WTG WHEELS. Fantastic fishing.
  25. Cazz GL finding a local repair place. So much of todays electronic equipment is throw out. Most of the stuff under War. is returned to the manufacturer, and they never even open the case. Maybe I'm wrong. The bigger cities may have something. GL:) What do you mean all done fishing???? The best is yet to come. I guess I'm just a diehard that likes a boat under my butt. LMAO I know you are into hunting and it's tough to find time to do it all. GL on the turkeys and deer.
