  1. My balls glow in the dark.
  2. Maybe we should make Sign Language our official language. Do you know what sign I have for them?
  3. I better be the first one to sign up for this one.
  4. I have rebuilt the fuel pump, replaced the fuel line, I have a set of plug wires on the way, and I just replaced the master cylinder and keel roller on the trailer. Things I need to do yet are; grease the outdrive and trailer, adjust the trailer brakes, and go through all my stored equipment onboard. Right after ice out it will get washed in the lake then washed on the driveway. The stall in the garage will also get cleaned on the first or second trip. Everything gets checked before and after the first trip.
  5. I start by laying out my lures on the engine cover. If the sun is out they get charged that way, but if not I have two fixed 55 watt halogen lights shining down on the fishing area. Just before sending them down I flash them with a LED mini mag light.
  6. Well at least you got out. Are you in the Shiver Contest? I seen in the paper there is a 10 pounder in front already.
  7. WTG Terry. Nothing better than some Blue Gills or Lake Perch.
  8. Thanks for the report Minnow. Better luck next time.
  9. Good job Rich. I Used to to do a lot of rabbit hunting.

  11. A warm welcome to you Jim.
  12. While tinkering in the garage, I notice a small spot under my boat trailer coupler. I pulled the Atwood coupler and noticed a small leak in the surge brakes master cylinder. I checked the shock absorber, and it was fine. I ordered a new master cylinder, a rubber boot that goes on the business end, and a reservoir cap. I also needed a Keel Roller so I ordered one from the same place, Eastern Marine. On my list of things to do was change plug wires cap and rotor so I got that stuff coming from Aftermarket Discount Marine. I changed the spark plugs last August, and I keep a new spare set all gapped and ready in the boat. Just MO MONEY $$$$$. But damn that boat runs better than my wifes car. Little things that need doing get taken care of. I just finished rebuilding the fuel pump and changing fuel hose. It would behoove you all to check your fuel system hoses on the older boats. There is some alcohol is most all the fuel. These hoses and fuel system parts were not designed to handle alcohol. The hoses will look OK on the outside. The last thing you need is a fuel leak, and it may be just that, THE LAST THING. Make sure you replace them with alcohol resistant C.G. approved hose. The alcohol in the fuel was deteriorating my fuel hose from the inside out. The alcohol in the fuel also took it's toll on my older fuel pump. The newer parts and kits are alcohol resistant.
  13. I think it will be fine in the vacuum package. I would pack it small packages so that once it's opened it's eaten promptly.
  14. Ginger Ale, Ginger Snaps, and Ginger candy. Keep them out of the cabin and looking @ the horizon.
  15. Yes the brute force from a 25+# King is tough to beat. The Steelhead is a better showman.
  16. Patriots will "Git Er Done".
  17. O3 Silverado Regular Cab. 4X4. I use it mostly as a tow vehicle and to haul something once in awhile. 5 yo truck with 22K miles. The launch @ AuGres is 9 miles away.

  20. Welcome aboard Cast-a-way. I fish Lake Huron and it's Saginaw Bay for walleye and perch. I make a few trips a year to Lake Michigan to fish for Salmon. I always wanted to fish Lake O in August. You will like it here.
  21. Here is a rare shot of me @ the helm. Pic taken @ last years Stinger. Here's one of me with a Manistee King. Love that port.
  22. Yes the GLM parts are a good value. One plus about owning a Mercruiser is the aftermarket parts available. Complete new GLM outdrives cost about $1300 and all the parts are interchangeable with the Mercruiser. These ODs have a 3 year warranty and I think they are made in FL. Sierra also has their line of some aftermarket parts. I have used any aftermarket parts that I could find and haven't had an issue with any of them. I was wondering if anyone has tried the GLM outdrives. I don't need one now but I don't think you could have a mercruiser OD rebuilt for less than $1300. There must have been a lot of profit in these parts to have another manufacturer jump in and start duplicating them.
  23. The middle of March seems a Tad early to be leaving it in the water.
