  1. GJ SG. It's always nice to get that first trip behind you. I hope the radio is just something minor.
  2. The Walleye fishing has got tough on the outer bay. Water clarity is unbelievable. My next Walleye trip will be to the inner bay. The outer bay will shine when the water boils in the inner bay.. I got a report Sun about the slow down, but I had to see for myself. I was in a friends boat and we never got a hit. We could easily see bottom in 15 FOW. We had temps as high as 57 in 6 FOW. There are some eyes being caught in the lower AuGres River. They are legal there because the river was artificially extended out into the bay.
  3. Fantastic Mike. 7 for 11 are my kind of numbers. Sounds like a crap game.
  4. Tom, The charge rate should be around 14-14.5V. Check it with a DC Voltmeter to make sure it's not a defective voltmeter on the dash. If that still reads the same you may need a new voltage regulator. Sometimes the voltage regulator is built into the alternator.
  5. Thanks for the report Mike. Good advice about the clothing. Ya can't put it on if it's at home.
  6. There may be a relief screw on the IOs, but I'm not aware of one. One thing to always remember, is to back the dipstick vent screw out one turn. before operating the trim. This vents the reservoir, and damage can result if it is not vented.
  7. A nice day to be out with the kids.
  8. GJ Mike and son's. I love to see the kids involved.
  9. Looking good. Ya know I love them Islanders.
  10. Fantastic. I have never boated one, but I suspect that I've had a couple on.
  11. GJ even if you didn't fill up. It was a great day to be on the water.
  12. GJ Ed. I love the Spring Magic.
  13. After reading the Title, I thought some birds nested under your hood. I have seen turkeys in some unlikely places.
  14. That would do it. If the problem is NOT the trim motor, or pump, you could raise it with some jumpers. Check your wiring diagram. There is a switch at the helm that controls an up and a down solenoid. The solenoids control the pump motor. The switch, wiring, solenoid, fuse, or pump could be the problem. The Mercruiser pumps use motor oil for the hydraulic fluid.
  15. Find the warmer water and ya just might find some eyes. Minnow type baits orange bellies, Silver and black, Blue and Gold. Trolling anywhere from 1.5-2.5 MPH. It seemed like changing up was what they wanted. It was a slow bite but a beautiful morning to be on the water. We had surface water temps as high as 55 degrees. Warm shallow water is the key.
  16. I wish I was going with you. That will be some useful information on those DBs.
  17. GJ Kevin. Love the Spring Magic.
  18. Yes it would John, but you would have a hell of a hole shot.
  19. Here is a pic of the Priority1 waiting to be put in the garage. The Bird Trees are the Cat's A$$ for running boards. I like em.
  20. Well I finally got the Priority1 wet today. My neighbor went along so I was limited to a 1-1/2 hr trip. Everything functioned properly. I did find one thing wrong. I installed my Port Bird Tree over my VHF antenna. When I got home it took me less than 5 minutes to rectify that. Just remove one bolt on the antenna mount and positioned the antenna on the outside of the Tree. The mouth of the AuGres River was a zoo. I did manage to wiggle through the boats but I couldn't troll in that close, and I couldn't leave the channel. I did set 4 boards out in 10-13 FOW. I was just about to send the 3rd board out when the inside board on the Port side had a flag down. The board was just a dancing. I thought we were going to have a real good morning but the 9# LT was our only fish. The LT hit a 7 inch black and silver shallow diving no name minnow 40 ft back. A smaller boat would have been the ticket today. I don't like to run mine in less than 10 FOW. I set the shallow alarm at 9 FOW. I tried the 6 FOW before and all of a sudden I would find myself in 3 FOW, and that's not good. In 10 FOW even if you shallow up 5 or 6 feet you are not in trouble. Tight lines:) Oh!!! Surface temp was 45-46 degrees.
  21. OK Joe. The Prop is in Very Good condition.
