  1. You would be welcome anytime.
  2. We stayed on shore Thursday morning, but decided to make a late afternoon run. I was trying some new waters in search of some HOGS. We were swinging for the bleachers, but only managed some solid base hits. We used our usual, Purple, Chartreuse, Glow Tiger, and Orange harnesses. We had more throw backs than our usual runs, but managed 12 nice Walleye. We fished shallow and deep in search of that elusive HOG. I had my good friend and fishing bud Joe A. here for three nights, and two days of fishing. Joe and I fished from Grindstone City to Rogers City and a few Lake Michigan ports. It was a great pleasure, to have him help on the back of the Priority1. TYVM Joe. Joe did all the S.S. and Aluminum welding on my custom rod holders and downrigger board. I helped him cut and fit his rod holders. In addition to to my extremely busy fishing schedule, we had a couple of curve balls thrown at us. My helm pedestal seat broke so we had to take it to Standish to have it welded. We checked the other pedestal but didn't notice it was cracked also. So today the other one is getting welded. Jim's Prop Shop in Standish gets two thumbs up, for prompt, reasonably priced, and reliable service. Jim also added 4 gussets to the pedestals to make them stronger than original. The cost was $20 per pedestal. Check your pedestals for cracks, especially on older rigs. There is a lot of leverage from the seat to the floor, and big waves just add to the constant movement. Good Luck to all in the Stinger Tournament Tomorrow.
  3. GJ Bill. Luv dem eyes. Hey that one grew some wiskers.
  4. It's been FANTASTIC fishing. I hope we can get out today but it don't look good. The Gravely Shoal Light hasn't posted a report since 9PM yesterday. We had a fish fry last night. I hope I can find some hogs Sat. Yesterday we had a triple and a double, but most of the time the fish just kept coming slow and steady.
  5. It's so cool to see the look on a kids face when they reel in a fish. Cute kids.
  6. Jack W; Joe A; Gary W; and I fished AuGres again today. When we hit the water a little after 6 it had a nice walleye chop. Three lines in and the skunk came out of the box. We worked a little for a four man limit. A couple of hrs into our trip the West wind shifted to the North, and we were fighting 2-3 ft waves. Inline planer boards B.B. the real thing on harnesses, with chartreuse, glow tiger, orange, and purple being the colors we run. We never changed a bait. Our biggest fish was about 3#s. 30+ FOW running 1.5 MPH. It was good to have Joe onboard again. We fished a lot before, but this was our first trip in about a yr. Jack W. had his son over and he fished with us the last two days. I love this time of year and the hot fishing on the Saginaw Bay. Get em while it's HOT. I apologize for not responding to other posts. I have not gotten to bed before 11:30, and was up @ 4:00 AM two days in a row. It looks like a blow day tomorrow. I' may catch up on my sleep. 4 Man Limit
  7. I fished with rogerh69 and 3 other guys today. The five of us came up a little short today. We boxed 19 Walleye and farmed about 4. Our fish were 4#s and down. 32 FOW B.B. and harnesses. Glow Tiger, Purple, and chartreuse all took fish. I ran 6 inline boards and two rods over the side. I'll hit it again tomorrow with 4 of us aboard.
  8. Thanks for the report Jon. I can't wait until mid July through August.
  9. VN catch from up there in God's Country.
  10. Move the compass Cazzzzzzz. And turn that @#%$@& radio down. I can hear it all the way over here. Kind of the same subject. I tried to put a compass somewhere in my truck. There is so much electrical interference, that I couldn't find a decent spot where a regular compass would work.
  11. Your Welcome. Mike is running the tournament, so that is his call.
  12. The Park and campground are behind the Bopp Bush Manufacturing Plant, near the US23 Bridge in AuGres. The Launch Site is near the mouth of the AuGres River. The two places are on the same road on opposite sides of US23, about a mile apart.
  13. Dan, I need to fill my truck and boat. Would you cosign for me??? Let me know if that free gas weekend comes about. I can see the toll it's taking on the tourist trade up here.
  14. Slide Divers are OK if you are targeting spooky fish. The light bite SDs would probably be good for Walleye. The problem with Slide Divers is they don't work well with the braids, and the line has to be cut to remove them from the rod. If you don't remove them you must strap them to the rod for travel, or they will bounce all over the place. I seldom need long leads behind the divers so I'm going back to strictly Dipsys. I use my boards for the spooky fish. I have a glow SD and a green one with some extra rubbers and springs, that I'll trade for some #1 Dipsys or the equiv Walker Divers. Personally, I didn't mind running Slide Divers, but some of my crew members hated them. The fact that I was using them only late in the season with short leads made it senseless for me to stick with them.
  15. There will be a lunch at the Lake Huron Stinger, in AuGres. Menu BBQ Chicken Sandwiches LemonOrangeAde Chips Jason Wheeler is providing the Chips. Jack Whitehouse (Priority1 crew) providing buns I'll provide the BBQ, Lemonade, plates, and cups. My wife, Jeanice, will deliver the hot food and Cold drink. Best of Luck to everyone in this tournament, and a warm welcome to everyone. Hopefully you will return to the area.
  16. GJ Mike. I have never had that experience.
  17. Tom, even if you don't have your graph, I'll keep you posted. You can follow us out, and we will relay info to you.
  18. GJ Tom, considering you were without your main tool. The Saginaw Bay is on fire. I know you will do well in the Stinger.
  19. GJ Terry and Roger. Git ER Done.
