  1. Your welcome Jason. I owed you a trip from last yr. Thank you for helping on the back of the boat.
  2. Negative on the Dive Bombs, I was running 2 Ounce Bouncers exactly 8 ft behind or under the boards. There is a misconception that bouncers have to bounce or tick bottom. Just another tool to put it in their face. I know the Dive Bombs will work on the eyes, but I keep going with what I know, the KISS method. One of these days I'll do some Dive Bombing, but in the meantime "why kick a winning dog?".
  3. I don't know if this has anything to do with the upgrade or server switch, but when ever I try to edit something I sometimes give up because it's so slooooooooooooow.
  4. WTG FANTASTIC. Wishin I was Salmon Slammin instead of Walleye Whacking.
  5. It was just beautiful on the bay today, but we were well on our way to getting skunked. We started in our 32 FOW but marked nothing, and got nothing. The mayfly hatch is in full swing, and the fish are high feeding on them. We didn't mark any because they were probably just under the boat. We did shallow up a touch and ran our 2 0Z B.B. with harnesses 8 ft down, @ 1.5 MPH GPS. The 8 ft down is not a typo. I don't think I ever run 2 oz weights 8 ft down in all my years of fishing. Surf and Turf, JWheeler, Big Jack and I went on to get 15 walleye to finish up somewhat respectable. 10 of those walleye came in about and hrs time. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to fill the box. Big Jack and I are the grumpy old men. It was a great pleasure to have J Wheeler, Surf and Turf (MS), and Big Jack onboard. Us two old dogs had some young pups to growl at. J Wheeler Big Jack and Gary aka Surf and Turf get a bigs Thumbs up from me. The two younger guys could move like cats on the back of Priority1. All I had to do was growl once in awhile and they were on it. Gitter Done.
  6. We ran our usual, bouncers and meat, but came up short. 3 of us managed 10 hard earned walleye. We missed 4 or 5 strong hits that left the crawler unscathed. I think the were hitting the spoon attractors. We did have 2 doubles and ran back over them with NOTA. I ran some spoons but couldn't get them to go. It was a nice day but a though bite for us. We did try some different things with nothing working very well. It should turn on again. We are nearing July with surface temps still in the mid 60s.
  7. GJ Dan. The AuGres Eyes must have migrated S. We worked hard for 10 fish for three of us.
  8. A very warm welcome to you Greg. I fish Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay, with a few trips to Lake Michigan. You will like it here.
  9. I took a couple of rides on your boat Jason. You are welcome anytime.
  10. Fantastic Joe. Ludington and Manistee are my favorite West Side ports.
  11. VN Mike.
  12. GJ Mike and crew. LOL on the TY and YW.
  13. The Salmon fear The Dirty Dog. Fantastic:) GJ Terry.
  14. GJ Dan. Way to Gitter Done. I needed a break today. Yesterday was a tough bite for awhile but around 10 or 10:30 it picked up for us, and we got the second half of a 4 man limit in about 40 minutes. Boat control, or lack of it, was our biggest problem in the big waves. We were at the dock at noon. Dan if you ever need a hand onboard let me know. I may be able to oblige.
  15. Gj and thanks for the report Scott.
  16. I know your hooks were sharp Jason. It must have been one of those days we all have. Well at least you chased the skunk out with those two lakers. That Salmon Slammin will be moving N. and late July and August will be fantastic.
  17. WTG Take Six. There is nothing like them lake perch on the platter. Thanks for the report.
  18. GJ Capt. Thanks for the report.
  19. I learned one thing about you Cazz. You will NEVER knowingly put your self or anyone else in HARMS WAY. Play it safe and fish again. GOOD CALL CAZZ. As far as how we did, the Saginaw Bay was rough but fishable. It's getting almost mechanical out there. Gitter Done.
  20. WTG Billy. GJ on those Football Browns, and Kings.
  21. Well at least the shakedown cruise didn't go Skunked. You will light em up soon enough.
  22. WTG Capt. Dick. I can't wait to start hitting Manistee again.
  23. We took a 4 man limit this morning off AuGres 30-33 FOW pulling B.B., Stinger spoons, and harness trailers. Color didn't seem to matter. It was tough fishing, with 2-3 foot waves. It was about 11:00 AM when we filled up, and we took two more fish pulling lines. I had to stay on the helm most of our S. Troll. I could have used a good wheel man. Once we headed with the waves, I was able to leave the helm and make things happen on the back of the boat. Pulling 8 inline boards into the waves keeps you on your toes. We took almost half our fish tolling S. then quickly boxed out going N. Some people just don't realize what it takes to have a successful trip. A good helmsman is a must when pulling boards. I'm going to take a break tomorrow.
