  1. Welcome Boltman. You will like it here. Just check the reports and you will get all the information you need. Feel free to holler if you have any specific questions. The fish do it full time, so we are all parttimers.
  2. Here is a link to a pictured tutorial on the pics. Hope it helps. If you need any help give a yell. http://greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219

  9. Welcome aboard. You will like it here. Good to have someone from the Ovid Elsie area.
  10. GJ Adam. If the weather cooperates I may make it to Manistee this coming week.
  11. Marv, Sorry about your misfortune. I just don't like risking my gear inside the pier heads. Too many boats in close quarters makes for a bad scene.
  12. I may be a Redneck.
  13. How many of you can remember your father or grandfather saying, "You have to be patient to be a good fisherman."?? I think we all know that patience is highly over rated, especially today. First off, fishing is sure different today than it was when I was a kid. We didn't have GPS and Sonar, so in that respect we had to be somewhat patient. Today we have the tools to Gitter Done. Our sonars can show us structure, fish, and thermocline. Our GPS can put us back over the fish. If we are over fish and they are not responding we do something different. Today patience is for the guy sleeping on the bank hoping the fish don't bite. Patience does ride on my boat, when I'm helping a kid. Don't be patient, Gitter Done.
  14. Is the Saint part of Capt. Gary's operation?
  15. Best bet is to get some outriggers to hold a little more territory. That's how some of the Big Dogs do it. I usually opt out of the combat fishing. Things can get messed up without asking for trouble.
