GJ Mike. This time of year the weather can be very unpredictable. Not many more days is an accurate statement. I was going fishing this morning, until I looked at the actual conditions at a light where I fish.

You are right on there. I didn't say where the good was coming from. It was definitely from the sharing posts of our caring members. No matter who started the thread, or what their intentions were, some good came out of it. In no way was I implying that the threads initiator was the source of this good will.

Some very good ideas. We all tweak our tools to fit our needs. In fishing, it's a lot of little things that add up to success.

Mags or #1 Dipsys should never be free spooled out when riggers are in. The drag method is a good way to go, or thumb the spool keeping a good bend in the rod as it goes out. I have run 4 Dipsys without tangle problems.

At least you took 1 King. A day on the water is always a good thing.

That is so sad. Pulling boats out means Winter is on it's way.

I use the Walkers top and bottom. These are the older Walker stackers that are no longer made. They thread on the cable and have a cam wheel that locks them at the desirable place. I still use them once in awhile.

WTG Rick and Randy. Glad you were able to help a stranded angler.

Some leftover Salmon or Smoked Salmon pieces. I can of cream of something soup. Milk. Leftover potatoes, or nuke a medium or two small potatoes. Cut fish and potatoes into small pieces add everything in a small saucepan, heat season and eat. Add the milk until the right consistency is achieved. I season it with onion powder and black pepper. I'm eating a bowl of it as I type. This is my kind of cooking. A man, a can, and a plan.
