I can't count how many times I have set lines well before sun up. Two years ago out of Manistee we had a quad going with only two of us onboard. We filled up just before the sun broke the horizon. Remembering them GR8 trips, is what keeps us coming back for more.

We run crawlers from 0.7 to 2 MPH, depending on the water temps. Cranks are usually run at a speed they perform best at. Like always, find out what the want, and give em lots of it.

The old black and raspberry will still gitter done. I think we all get hung up on the new stuff, and forget about some of the old standbys.

Capt. Ron, Thanks for the detailed report. It will be GR8 to hear the multiple splashes of the boats going back in after ice-out.

I have been out a few times, but found them to be scattered. I will fish them into November, but I haven't hit the mother lode yet. Every time out they were hitting real light. You have to be right on them. A very light jigging action sometimes coaxes the bite. I have taken some decent size perch, the largest just under 14 inches. AuGres either side of the shipping channel. Next trip I'm going to try it off the weeds near the nets. That is just a hunch.

No reason why they shouldn't work. Has anyone tried any scents on them. Most of the plastics have some scent anyway. Anise is a popular one.

GJ Adam. Terry, That red and white can is disinfectant. It's required on the East side. You have to take all the precautions.

It's been that way for years. It isn't right, and I brought this point up with one of our legislators. Another point I brought up was the tax we pay on rebates. The Auto makers reduce the price of the car or truck through rebates, but we pay tax on the vehicle before those rebates come off. This is B.S. also. If you buy something in a store that is 1/2 off you don't pay tax on the full price. Why should we be taxed on the full price of an auto. This state just wants to sock it to you any way they can.
