  1. Look at some plastic cutting boards. You will have to drill some mounting holes but after that you can move or change things easily. The cutting boards are tough and can be worked with standard wood working tools. These cutting boards make great backing plates also.
  2. It blew hard up here also. The lights flickered a couple of times but we never lost our power. It looks like there was wide spread power outages. I'll have to check the roof, to make sure none of the shingles blew away. Be careful making repairs, and cleaning up. The weather reports have been very accurate.
  3. WTG Rich and Dom. It's always nice to see the kids involved in fishing.
  4. GJ Jason. Be careful on that ice. Come on Spring.
  5. Boltman, I know exactly what you mean. I'm retired so I need something to keep me out of trouble. There's not many weeks go by, that I'm not on or working on the Priority1. I have the time and it keeps me up on what makes her tick. Nick, You better jump on that Old Style Special. This time of year you could swing quite a deal. How many cases of Old Style was he going to throw in?? GL with the trailer project.
  6. Carl, A warm welcome to you. You'll like it here.
  7. Thanks Mike. Those fish will not stand a chance after that.
  8. The Priority1 doesn't need much this year, but she does need a few things, and she will get a good going over. A few things that are on my TO DO LIST are, 1: shift shaft seal, 2: change out drive fluid, 3: Lube, 4: Check Engine plugs etc, 5: Repair Electric Trailer winch (needs brushes), 6: Check and possibly replace four trailer wheel bearings Grease, 7: Adjust trailer brakes and check fluid. 8: Check boat and trailer lights. Adjusting the trailer brakes is one of the things that so many boater overlook. Priority1 will also get about a half hr run, with ear muffs, before she gets to the launch. Doing some of these things will keep your boat running flawlessly, so you will be available to tow someone in that didn't take the time. Pile on with your TO DO LIST. Some of your things may ring a bell for me or others. I also have to change plugs in my car. They are the 100,000 mile Iridium ones. I just ordered some parts for my tractor mower. Two new sets of blades, and a new drive belt. The blades for my 46 inch mower deck were $6.00 each 3 required. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. These were Oregon Blades for my MTD mower. They were even made in the good USA. Check this place out if you need any mower parts. Their eBay site has some things cheaper than their web site. I ordered from both their places called with a C.C.# and had the stuff in two days. http://stores.ebay.com/Mowtownusa http://www.mowtownusa.com/
  9. With the pup onboard you can add 3 rods to the spread.
  10. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  11. The dog will be a GR8 for the cabin boys.
  12. Yes you are.
  13. Congrats Scott.
  14. It is truly amazing. It's difficult to imagine what the next ten years will bring.
  15. It's GR8 when you can capture things like this on film. Oops!!!! Film is getting to be a thing of the past. Going the way of the nickel beer.
  16. Mike, I know connectivity on the pond was a main concern. What did you go with? One of these days I may cut my land line. I have Charter everything and every time the wind blows I loose things on and off. This happens a lot more than my old ATT land line or electric power. If I could get a cell that would be somewhat dependable up here, at a reasonable cost, I may cut Charter phone loose. I also use Yahoo Messenger phone with a headset for a flat 1 cent a minute. I could utilize that along with a cell. I only use Yahoo Messenger to call out, but they also have a call in feature for a nominal fee.
  17. The Christmas logo is nice. Merry Christmas to everyone here. Mike will post a picture of me, with a Scythe for New Years.
  18. I think I would rather have a babe sitting on my hardtop reeling the fish. I know the walk to the bow option is not possible on my boat. I think that's why the Slide Diver was invented. But realistically, even with 12-15 feet of line behind a Diver on a 9 or 10 foot rod, an experienced crew should be able to net the fish. In this scenario I would probably fight it out the port side window of my hardtop. I used to run Slide Divers as my High Divers, but I had so many inexperienced people that hated to mess with them. The Dipsys are easier on and off. I think a regular Dipsy could be tricked out to slide after it released. I may just work on this. I seldom fish Salmon when they are spooky. I concentrate on the eyes until August.
  19. I was reading you Skeiner. The pics spoke for them selves.
