  1. First you need to have white or very light colored paint on the lure. If you notice the super glow lures like Moonshine are mostly white in color because white reflects the light best. I used the green glow powder in a mix with some brushable lacquer. mix about 3 or 4 parts lacquer to 1 part powder. It takes about 3 coats of the mix and one coat of just the lacquer over top. The stuff dries in less than an hr. Here is a link for the powder. The powder is expensive. Some people try and put the powder in paint. Yes it will work in paint somewhat. The problem with putting it in paint, is a lot of the powder gets hidden behind the paints pigment particles. You get the max results using it in a clear medium like lacquer. The reason I used the green powder because it has the longest glow time of any others. http://www.glonation.com/Products/GlowPowder/GlowPowder.html
  2. Nothing quite like a boy growing up with his dog.
  3. I don't know who that SOG is.
  4. Mine was a gift from my Son's Family last year. It's the Food Saver brand and it's called the Game Saver Deluxe Plus. I like it. Anyone have a good source for the bags? I use the continuous rolls in 8 inch and 11 inch. Mostly I use the 8 inch to package walleye, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 pounds of fillets.
  5. Roger, LMAO I thought you took a dump down someones fishing hole, while singing "Moon River"
  6. Space is always at a premium on a boat. One 6 way screwdriver takes the place of 4 screwdrivers, and it is also a 1/4 inch and 5/32 inch nut drivers. I have my Six Way Screw Driver handy. It can tighten a Dipsy or a Phillips screw on a Walker Deeper Diver. It gets used a lot for many different things.
  7. I took a lot of the light colored spoons that I seldom washed, and super glowed them. The fish can't seem to tell If they are the store bought glows or not. I did the same with several light colored Js. My balls even glow in the dark.
  8. I'll find you Dan. LMAO GJ
  9. GJ Guys. Phil, I hear you on the boat thing. I'm on mine a couple of times a week, but it's not the same in the garage.
  10. GJ Terry and Phil. Be careful, and stay warm.
  11. 14 should be the first one back in the box.
  12. Terry, One things is for sure, success speaks for itself.
  13. If you have a Vacuum food saver try segmenting quart and gallon Zip Locks with the food savers seal feature. You can dived the bags in two or more vertical sections for lures etc. Here's a pic of a two segment sandwich bag with some bead chains. This would also be a great way to bring a couple of special flies when you are fishing with someone else. Another thought you could run a horizontal seal across as long as the stuff was inside and make it into 4 segments, but you would have to rip open the bottom segments. Pile on this thread and share some of your ideas.
  14. It's a Big One.
  15. The technology is mind boggling. We have better sonar and GPS systems on our sport boats now than the Navy had just a few years ago. When the price gets right we will all want the cams. The difference between a man and a boy is the price of their toys. When I started fishing I couldn't imagine running ten or more rods, planer boards, Dipsys, GPS, Sonar, Temperature probes, riggers, etc etc. Computers link us with other fishermen to swap information, and a few tall tales. I'm getting too old for all this stuff. But, If ya Love It, Ya Love It.
  16. Nailer nailed it. To me lead-core is just another tool in the box to put the lures in the fishes face. You may want to start slow and get used to the riggers and maybe a pair of Dipsys. Some times less is more. Hitch a ride with someone that runs a wide variety of presentations, and you will learn a lot in a trip or two. Nothing like hands on experience.
  17. These rings fit a Leupold base, and are the gloss blue finish. I looked closer and they have been installed. Reduced $10.
  18. qdm Quality Deer Management or Quiet Down Man.
  19. This sight looks like it's brand new. The screws and allen wrenches look untouched. I tried the switch and all reticles light up. There are 4 extra batteries for this sight. It has an integral Weaver Style Mounting Rail. I removed the sight from the box for pics. There is a lens cap. There is a sticker on the box for $79.99. Will sell for $50. PM if interested. This belongs to my son.
  20. Nick, Sending you a PM.
  21. Jim, PM sent. TY Frank

  23. What a way to go.
  24. Nice Pics:)
  25. You are so right about that pic. Very scenic, and you can just smell that the fish will be there.
