  1. Very nice indeed. I saw some of the spider designs on spinner blades in Frank's yesterday. I remembered that you posted the design a few months back. I didn't bite but no doubt the fish will. I need to buy 100 number 5 and 6 blades for the Summer.
  2. If a guy had some time on his hands, he could whittle up some Js out of wood dowels or old handles. A little paint and they'll be collectors items 50 years from now. Everyone gets hung up on pretty paint jobs and smooth looking lures. I don't think the fish give a rip about how even or pretty they look.
  3. Your Welcome and a big THANK YOU right back. That's what this board is all about.
  4. Keep it up Adam. Hopefully I'll be fishing the lower AuGres River by April1.
  5. If you do stack some rod holders vertically on that arch, they will be the handiest rod holders on the boat. Nothing better than a Tree, or rod holders on the arch, for running boards. When you are reeling in a fish the rods in the arch are forward and totally out of the way. I didn't think I needed a tree, until I built mine last year. I usually run 4 boards off each side, and they are the Cat's A$$.
  6. The GPSs with the maps are nice. I'll break down and buy one if my old LMS-350 Lowrance ever dies. It's about 15 yo. I kind of like old things also. I got my boat with it on it, and I'm just curious to see how long it will last. I have the old style antenna module up on the hardtop, and it has never lost signal as long as I have had it. Charts are nice to plan with.
  7. GJ again Adam. I'm so grateful that we have this fishery in our back yards.
  8. I think the # 5s measure about 5-3/4 inches long. I don't run any bigger ones, but I would if I had some. The 5s especially the glows have been good, but I mostly fish salmon only in August. I have a few of the 3s and have taken fish on them. I never saw any smaller than 3s.
  9. Zero in on certain areas and do some screen shots with your PCs Print Screen Key. You can then turn them into JPEG format and save. Here's an example of the lower part of the two bays. It's all right here. 14913 is it's #
  10. WTG Craig.
  11. GJ Adam. Isn't the bay fabulous?
  12. GJ on the gills.
  13. I just spent a half hr taking a bunch of screen shots of the Saginaw Bay. This is where I want to be, with a boat under my Butt.
  14. Robert, Did you scroll down??? There seems to be good coverage of the GLs.
  15. Mike that is too cool.
  16. If I'm running sliders fixed or free, I keep my main line lure no more than 10 ft behind the ball. The shorter your main line set up the quicker your into the fish. I never slide anything but a clean spoon, on a main line with a clean spoon. Sliders attached to a main line, with a flasher or dodger running on it, will only result in a mess.
  17. New in the box Buck 691. This is a fixed blade knife never sharpened or used. $25 It comes with a Nylon sheath. Check it out here http://www.tylertool.com/bu69buziruha.html?utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=shopzilla
  18. Matt, Don't believe what you here about Saginaw Bay. It's highly over rated and not many fish.
  19. GJ Jay, Thanks for the report.
  20. Probably only spinning one of those props while trolling.
  21. That's the way I would go. I fished with Big Jons and like them the best. I have Cannons on mine, because they came with the boat. Cannon used to replace any of the parts that broke free of charge. Since they have changed hands, if you are NOT the original owner and have proof of purchase, you pay$$. What I don't like about most riggers is the small depth counters. I used to fish with manual Penn Fathom Masters, and you could see the depth from several feet away. My line counter reels have the same size numbers that the riggers have.
  22. Exactly, How many big salmon, browns and steelhead have been on small Cleos? Fishon.
  23. Those are some fantastic fish. We get an occasional Atlantic Salmon around here but nothing to compare to those.
  24. Kjell, Most of us run our Diver Rods pointed out to the side and almost parallel to the water. I sometimes run my high diver in the lowest holder on my bird trees.
