  1. GL and safe hunting to all.
  2. A warm welcome to you Lee. You will like it here. I fish out of AuGres MI on the Saginaw Bay in my 22 Starcraft Islander hardtop. I do make a few trips to Lake Michigan every year.
  3. Way to get em Scott. Just the start of another good year.
  4. Good plan Mike. There will be 4 times the boats tomorrow.
  5. WTG Terry and crew. You're on em Dog.
  6. I would think that the Kings will be a tad heavier also. Must be a slightly better forage base this year.
  7. It's been fun ever since they let them net below the 45th parallel. We could learn to live with it if they were more responsible with good markings, and a better attitude about this precious fishery. With the technology we have today, those nets should have lighted markers. The online posting of coordinates has helped. Thanks for the heads up Joe.
  8. Ken, I think a lot of us get wrapped up into the new stuff. The old stuff still works. A couple of years ago I found a pocket of Kings. I slowed down to 2MPH and under and ran dodgers with squid and flies. Even my clean spoons and Js worked. The dodgers have all but become a thing of the past, and when your searching the flashers are better. But when your on them slow down and run a dodger. The big uns like it slow and EZ.
  9. I like it. It came with the boat when I bought her a few years ago. It's old and I converted it from cable to strap. I just put new brushed in the motor a week or so ago.
  10. No reason why it shouldn't work.
  11. My congrats to Zach. Joe, True Love is the only explanation.
  12. GL with the outdrives and the fishing.
  13. Adam, Move the tie point down the bill of the flatfish. It will run at higher speeds. It's doable on some of the flatfish type lures.
  14. Sneaky. LOL Some good points.
  15. A warm welcome Peter.
  16. A warm welcome to you Hank.
  17. Yep it's a flatfish. I had a thread on flatfish awhile back. As is, you need to run them slooow. Here is the link. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9551&highlight=flatfish
  18. WTG Duane. Good report.
  19. Nice pic Ken. Too bad the weather and fish weren't more cooperative.
  20. Todd, A very warm welcome to you. You will like it here for sure. Let us know if we can help in any way. I fish mostly out of AuGres MI on the Saginaw Bay. I fish mostly in my 22 Starcraft Islander Hardtop. I do make a few trips a year to Lake Michigan.
