  1. Mike, Welcome and good job on the big king.
  2. The snubbers are important on the wire and super braid Dipsys. The reasons are covered well in the above posts. The Dipsy is a great tool to add to your spread, but it is easier for a fish to swim at the Dipsy and gain that little bit of slack to get off. The more hardware between the rod and the fish, the easier it is for the fish to come unbuttoned. Keep a lot of bend in the rod and crank like a mad man if the rod goes limp.
  3. Way to break in that new ride Nick.
  4. She's lookin good Jim.
  5. Ya broke her in right Jimbobber. WTG:)
  6. Sean, That's why they call the first trip a shakedown cruise. Your bound to forget something. The main thing is, you got out and checked the gear and boat.
  7. Andy and crew, WTG!!!! You took a bad situation and turned it around.
  8. Congrats Nick. Nice Pics.
  9. Fantastic Terry. You must have had at least one rookie that could drive the boat. I have been there a few times with a rookie crew. It doesn't appear that they even slowed you down any. KEEP HAMMERING THEM.
  10. GJ Jim. That split ring on the rigger cable couldn't be duplicated if you tried. Was the king real green when it came in. Some times you just can't do anything to avoid a major problem.
  11. WTG Jay. Where did you launch in Muskegon??
  12. ^5s Phil, Adam and crew. Ya really know how to "Gitter Done".
  13. Marl, Congrats on the 2cd place finish in tough conditions. ^5s
  14. Brom, Good Job again. Those Spring hos are sweet.
  15. John Welcome to the site.

  16. Welcome to the site John. If you get a chance go to the welcome forum and introduce yourself. You will like it here. I live less than an hr. S. of the AuSable River Mouth.
  17. Mike, I'll bet you can't wait, until he skips school on his own to go fishing. You are creating a lot of good memories for those kids.
  18. Brom, Good Job in real tough conditions. Yoopers know how to gitter done.
  19. Mike, Welcome to the site.

  20. If I see lightning on the horizon, I'm out of there. I watch the weather forecasts, and stay off the pond if it's in the forecast. Just a thought on the riggers, some use an electric car widow motor.
