  1. GJ Jim. Ya know those fish make a living on getting off. It's all part of the challenge. I'm glad you managed to box a couple.
  2. Capt. James goes the distance, to gitter done.
  3. I think I posted one too many times on AuGres. I had to wait in line to launch my boat on a weekday. I have never seen the launch so busy on a weekday. The local merchants owe me a lunch or two. Ya Right. A good friend,Tom T. (Talltails), and I fished with a couple of new friends. Mel D. (Melthusala), and Dale (Brookies) were new to our kind of fishing but, started to get it together about half way through the trip. It's not easy pulling ten lines, and it takes some getting used to. We didn't box out as quickly, but we still boated over 20 keepers, for a four man limit. If you want to know what we were doing look at my last several posts. GITTER DONE. Mel and Dale are welcome back anytime. AuGres is HOT.
  4. Capt. Dave, A very warm welcome to you. You will like it here. Let us know if we can help you in any way. Everyone here is friendly and helpful.
  5. GJ Ed. Thanks for the report.
  6. WTG Capt Bill. Thanks for the report.
  7. GJ Robert. The action will soon be better.
  8. GJ Jarod. Was your uncle wearing that hook on the right or left side. Maybe you could have just left it as trip remembrance. I'm glad you were able to free him without him pulling too much drag. Seriously it is a hazard of our game. Always wear glasses while fishing. A treble in the eye, and you don't look so good.
  9. It's always good to fish with kids. GJ Randy.
  10. Oscoda Frank, Tom Talltails, Big Jack W, and myself took another 4 man limit out of AuGres. The dinks have showed up but, we still manage a bunch of decent keepers. I don't mind catching undersized fish, because they are our future. It looks like at least another few years of great fishing. 32-36 FOW bouncers and meat. Purple, chartreuse, and pink. I know these posts seem like rubber stamps, but I just find out what they like, and I give em lots of it. Gitter Done.
  11. GJ Scott. Gotta Love the Saginaw Bay. Pink is also one of my favorite jig colors. I always used a pink lead head and a white twister tail.
  12. GJ Dennis. June is a great month to take a break from Salmon Slammin, and do some Walleye Whackin.
  13. Justin, GJ under tough conditions.
  14. This guy runs them a lot. http://www.williebeecharters.com
  15. Walkers
  16. Dave V.; Myself; Tom D.: Dave V. aka (bigbuck) took a 4 man limit out of AuGres. 33-34 FOW 1.5 MPH 2 oz bouncers off the boards 3 oz bouncers over the side. Purple, Chartreuse, and red harnesses did the job. I know I sound like a broken record, but that's the way it is. I also have to say thanks to young Dave for his expertise on the helm. Big Dave helped me set up, a big thanks for his hard work. Tom did a good job on the helm also and was willing to do what was needed to Gitter Done. All are welcome back anytime they want to fish on Priority1. None of us have fished together before, but the teamwork came together quickly. This site has made it possible to meet and fish with a lot of great people.
  17. GJ Phil and crew. Gitter Done.
  18. Nice pics Ken. Nice fish. I fished that area about 15 years ago. It is beautiful. We fished a couple of little lakes. One of the lakes was strictly brook trout. We always got our limit of nice brookies. Did you see any Moose?
  19. Adam, Icom is the best. Ohhhhhhh!!!! BTW I just cured your disease.
  20. Glyn, It's been relatively cool, so they will probably hold this pattern through July. A couple of years ago it was a hot June and they slowed down about 2 weeks into July. If I had to pick some days, to fish walleye on the bay, you can bet the farm they would be in June.
  21. Josh, A very warm welcome to you. You will like it here. Just let us know if you need any help.
  22. Mark, I'm glad you got the one. June is slow for Salmon Slammin, but it's the best month for walleye whackin. Next year shift gears and target eyes in June.
