  1. Three grumpy old men, and one in training got together for a great day on the Saginaw Bay. Mel D, Bill N, Steve N aka (GoinDeep), and I was able to make it happen again on the Saginaw Bay. We took a four man limit, in 28-30 FOW. Glows, Chartreuse, Purple are still doing the job. Bottom bouncers, behind in line boards, and harnesses. 1.5 MPH. Why Change?? It was such a fun day with these guys. Everyone was capable of changing posts, with out a problem. Gotta Luv Dat Saginaw Bay. Bill and Steve are father and son. Steve is in training for the grumpy old man status, but is 20-30 years away from getting his wings. We could accelerate his training, but slow is an important part of the process.
  2. A very warm welcome to you. If you get a chance post an introduction in the welcome forum. You will like it here.

  3. Lester, Welcome to the site. FISHON:)
  4. GJ Jarod. That King looks as shinny as a Cadillac bumper.
  5. If anyone can, you da man, Jimmy.
  6. I fished AuGres this morning with TallTails, John B, and Gary K. We took a 4 man limit in 28 FOW, and you will never guess on what. OK you guessed er Chester. Bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. Glows, Purple, and Chartreuse, will gitter done. 1.5 MPH. It was a tad rough today so we only ran 10 lines.
  7. GJ Jim. I'll change the date for you. You caught those fish 10 days into the future. I know you are a futuristic kind of a fellow.
  8. Jason, It is slowing down. It is not like it was a few weeks ago. The fish can be found, but you have to put the time in. We just kept picking away at them. When they turned on we banged our last 8 fish in a half hour. A lot of fish were taken out of AuGres this year. I never saw the launch site as busy as it was, even on weekdays. The local businesses had to profit from this. They could have done a lot better if some of the places would have opened up @ 5 AM. The campgrounds all seemed to do well.
  9. Big Bill M, Paperboy, Big Jack W, and I fished AuGres this morning. We fished 27-28 FOW pulling in line planer boards, with bottom bouncers and harnesses. Glow, Purple, and chartreuse, were our best colors. 1.5 MPH. Keep it simple and gitter done. Big Bill M is Big Jack's B.I.L. from Kansas. I think he will have some fond memories of our beloved Saginaw Bay. We farmed one keeper and 1 undersized fish.
  10. Tom, VN Kings. I'm envious. I always wanted to make that trip. Maybe one of these years.
  11. Dan, GJ on the eyes. It looks like a rough one again tomorrow. I think I'll sit it out. This sure has been a windy Summer.
  12. GL and thanks for the post. Nice pics.
  13. GJ Dan in tough conditions. What was working for you, and what water depths?
  14. Way to get on them.
  15. Jim, Way to gitter done.
  16. Randy, Thanks for the report. You can fish again some other day. You have to stay tuned to what mother nature is dishing up. Always play it safe.
