  1. Keepers for sure. Gotta love them kids.
  2. GJ Dan. Doesn't it give you a good feeling when a youngster gets their first walleye? We are so blessed to have this fishery, and to share it with youngsters has to give us points somewhere.
  3. Dennis, A warm welcome to you. Let us know if we can help in any way. Nice Ride.
  4. I didn't measure it but an educated guess would be 22-23 inches.
  5. Mel D. Jack W. Tom T. and myself took a 4 man limit today. The fish came slow but steady. We ran 2 oz bouncers off 10 Offshore in line boards and 2 rods with 3 oz bouncers over the side. Purple, Glow, Watermelon, blades did the trick. When it got dead calm the bite got real tough. Of course we ran real crawlers on my home tied harnesses. Gitter Done. OH!!!! 28-30 FOW 1.5 MPH.
  6. I fished AuGres with Tom T. and Paul R. and took a three man limit. It was beautiful out there and the fish were coming slooooow. I think the recent weather has them scattered. Gitter Done. Today was the third no show I had this year. In my opinion there is nothing worse a rider can do. I had two others that wanted to go today. The three no show riders never sent me their share of the fuel money. I think these are the people that are late for school, work etc. People that take riders have a lot more to do than most people realize. The trip doesn't start and end at the dock. A no show rider screws the boat owner and other people that could have went fishing. TG for the responsible people I have met here. And to the others?????????????? Riders should also help out on and off the boat. You are not on a charter boat, or expected to pay like you would on a charter trip. NUFF SAID.
  7. GJ Dan. I have experienced the same thing before. They get very active just ahead of a storm front. I don't fish the bay when severe storms are in the forecast. My son and I caught and released 28 walleye in 2-1/2 hrs, on the Titt. River just ahead of a storm. He was still in H.S. so we didn't leave the house until 4:00 PM. This was about 1990. We concentrated on a 300 yd. stretch of the river.
  8. NP Dan. I thought maybe the boss banned Charter Captains from this section. My posts have been anchored here right along. No moving necessary. Gotta Luv Dat Saginaw Bay.
  9. I knew what you were asking. I was just jerking your bobber. I never keep a tally, but I know last week we put 80 keepers in the box in 4 trips, and farmed some keepers and undersized walleye. We were fortunate enough to take many limits the last 4 years. The Saginaw Bay is a fantastic walleye fishery. It looks like it will be a good year for perch fishing also.We put 6 decent perch in the box trolling for eyes, our last trip. Two of those perch were close to 13 inches long.
  10. GJ Sugar Mama, Nick, and crew.
  11. I don't keep a running tally. Probably a lil over 100. That # is probably close. I let people who don't fish near as much as I do reel in most of them.
  12. TY for sharing the info.
  13. It will get better Robert. At least you got one.
  14. John B, Tom T, Tom D, and myself took a four man limit in 27-30 FOW pulling bouncers and meat. 1-1/2 MPH. Any color. It was a beautiful day on the bay. It was a lot of fun with this great crew. I gave my five walleye away at the launch site. I cleaned up the perch for our dinner tonight. two of those perch were about 13 inches. Yum.
  15. WTG Adam. What a fishery we have in our back yards. You da bomb.
  16. What a fishery. I hope to make a trip over there one of these years. Keep hammering them Tom.
  17. That is so cool. I may not get my Fall salmon fix this yr. Some family things may keep me close to home. Keep hammering them.
