  1. Priority1 has her own bay in my garage. She gets put in the garage after every trip. I do have heat in the garage when I'm working out there. My garage never freezes, even with the heat off. I do drain things just as a safety precaution. It's nice to be able to work on her, when ever I get an hour or so.
  2. I can remember when Michigan didn't have an income tax and the sales tax was @ 4%. The income tax was supposed to be a fair tax, that would keep our property taxes low. Well property taxes have continued to escalate, and we are now saddled with a 6% sales tax. The only thing on the plus side for us, was sales tax was removed from food. An kind of a license is a form of a tax. We sure have enough of them, and they all keep going up. Even sales tax on new vehicles is a joke. Cars and trucks don't go on sale, you get a rebate instead. The sales tax is put on before the rebate is taken off. What a pile of horse crap. If you go buy a $20 shirt and it's on sale for $10, you only pay sales tax on the amount spent. Automobiles should be the same. Just mo money for the Gubmint. The only ones that beat the system, are the filthy rich, and the dirt poor. Us po SOBs in the middle have to pay for it all.
  3. Nick, A lot of any gear is very good. You are a brave man storing all those goodies close to the porta potty, where the Sugar Mama can get an idea just how much gear you have. Best to keep that stuff hid. Most of the time we know in advance what will go in the water first. From past experience, under similar conditions, we all have our favorites. Even using the threaded plugs for your favorite, first to hit the water, and your second choice back ups, would be a plus. Maybe it's just me, but I find it a hassle to thread the chain and keep it in place while I hook the line swivel snap to it, or as some prefer to tie these on to the line. Tying to the line has the advantage of the lure floating to the surface should a fish break you off. Anything done on shore makes for an easier day on the water. A lot of good ideas are coming out of this thread.
  4. Jim, Tell your squeeze that is cool. Just hook your line snap and remove the paper clip. No mo fumbling around, trying to thread the bead chain, in rocky seas.
  5. Randy, You could hire an ole slug like me to drive the Tad Pole. Grumpy old men work cheap.
  6. But what a way to go.
  7. Anyone need these, before they go to eBay?? Make me a reasonable offer. Thanks for looking.
  8. LMAO I still have to do that with mine.
  9. A warm welcome Gary. You will like it here. Better luck next trip.
  10. I run 10 Offshore boards, with the tattle flags, for Walleye. I have 8 OR12s and 2 OR31s. I use the orange Offshore Releases on the front, and the reds with the pins on the rear. I also use these boards for Salmon a few times a year. I don't need or use the Tattle Flags while trolling for Salmon. We give free demonstrations Mon-Fri from ice out until Aug. Of course a gas donation is always welcome. Oh!! I'll probably get 2 more OR12s this Winter, and just keep the OR31s for Salmon, and spares while walleye fishing. I switched from the BIG Boards a few years ago, after fishing with the Kuz. The Offshore OR12s with the Tattle Flags are the cats meow for walleye. Our percentages Skyrocketed after switching.
  11. Peter, Thanks for posting that link. It's sure to help someone here.
  12. A warm welcome John. I fish the Saginaw Bay mostly out of AuGres. You will like it here. Let us know if you need any help. Fishon
  13. I use 1 or two trolling bags for walleye fishing. I need to get below 1 MPH at times. They work very well, and do stbilize the boat in rough seas. I keep mine rigged all the time. They are draped into the boat just back of the windshield. The bags run about mid ship, and are forward of the fishing area. Formerly I would seldom deploy both bags, unless I had to get super slow. I now opt to run both for walleye fishing 100% of the time. I can run a few more RPMs for better control and less engine loading. I don't have to use them @ Salmon speeds, but I do if the seas are over 3 feet. I hope this helps.
  14. What kind of fishing?????
  15. Not only that, those tail lights do not meet DOT requirements. Looks like the D.D. running away from home. I just wish I would have had the chance to ride on that fish catching SOB. She did you well Terry.
  16. VN Robert. But don't wish us into Winter too soon.
  17. I have run the Offshore OR12s and the OR31s. Most of my time with these boards have been for walleye, but I have pulled some core with them for salmon. I regularly run a 10 board spread, along with some other lines. I just like the way they perform. There are many ways to rig them, and a number of releases to choose from. The OR12s now come with the orange releases.
  18. Duane,Thanks for the report. I hope you get at least one more trolling trip, and a few trips for those yellow bellies.
