Jim, I wish you luck. Been there done that. About 20 years ago I had a Firearms and tackle business. I supplied most of my friends and relatives. A lot of the times, some big dealers show prices were better than my wholesale cost. I'm in no way trying to discourage you. I never lost money, but the work and hassle made it not worth it to me. My experience was before I even thought about computers, so you may do a lot better than I did. Good Luck again.

I bought a pair of 55 watt halogens floods from Boaters World a few years ago. The bulbs are standard and they light it up well. The cost was under $40 for the pair. They do draw the current, but I haven't had any issues. I have mine mounted on the rocket launcher on my hardtop. My rocket launcher is made to pivot down to clear the garage door header. My Anchor light is also mounted on the rocket launcher. I switch the 55 watt halogens off except when fighting a fish or setting up. The anchor light, along with some courtesy lights on my transom bar, help to light the back up also.

Purple seems to be a good color, and I think you answered your question already. I seldom buy one of anything. If it gets hot, or gets broken off, you will need another. I'm good at spending other peoples money.
