  1. Ron, Way to bust some eyes.
  2. Mike, A darn nice season.
  3. Capt. Chris, Thanks for the FL report.
  4. Jari, Thank You for sharing this with us.
  5. Keep in mind those short SWR cores are not just for the riggers.
  6. Kevin, GJ out of Saugatuck.
  7. Capt. Tim, A warm welcome aboard. I hope to see you on the bay some day. I think you will like it here. Holler if you need anything.
  8. They have good prices on all their fishing gear. If you are ever in this area Frank's Great Outdoors, and Northwoods should not be passed by. These places are within 5 or 6 miles of one another. Both places have exceptionally good prices on Offshore and Church products.
  9. Does anyone know how the herring plants are doing? I know a quite a few of them were planted. The herring are large enough and oily enough to sustain Salmon. Unlike the Alewives, the herring are native to the GLs. If the herring get established they would provide a good source of food for a lot of predatory fish as well as creating a commercial fishery. Like mentioned before the Salmon were planted to control the alewives. The salmon certainly did their job, but the clearer water and other factors have also taken their toll on this evasive bait fish.
  10. Gordy, You were blessed just being able to be out there. The brown was a bonus. Keep after them.
  11. I agree that you can never have too many rod holders. Tracks are nice, and allow you to move rod holders easily if you don't like the location.
  12. Mark, At least ya got the one. Better days are coming.
  13. Gordy, Keep them HOG pics coming.
  14. I would drill a 3/16 hole through the clamp and arch and put a 3/16 SS detent pin through it. McMaster Carr has them in their catalog for a couple of bucks each. They are also on line. These pins have a spring loaded ball near the tip to keep them in place. You can also order the ones with rings on them and bead chain them to the tower to prevent loss. I use detent pins to hold my trees and Rocket launcher into position. If you are never going to move them a SS bolt and lock nut would suffice.
  15. Penn Yann made a quality boat. I know there is a couple of tunnel drive true inboards on the bay, and they can handle some pretty shallow water. I have never seen a Penn Yann Jet so I can't help with that. That diesel isn't even broken in yet.
  16. Maybe some of us E siders can meet someplace and ride on over together.
  17. Steve, Congratulations on a VN Buck.
  18. Gordy, Keep those pics coming.
  19. Jonas, Keep the pics coming.
  20. Nice looking 10 pt. Thanks for posting the pic.
  21. My hat is off to our brave men and women. Freedom never was FREE.
  22. Ali, A very warm welcome to you. Just holler if ya need any help.
  23. Nothing wrong with some blow back unless the balls start coming out of the water.
