  1. That's what most fishermen do that have a cooler on the back of the boat.
  2. Awhile back we won a May tournament out of Harbor Beach by running all the way to Grindstone Port Austin area. We never took a King and targeted the big Lake Trout. Ya do what ya have to do.
  3. I wouldn't advise riding shore to shore up here. There is a big difference on the extreme outer bay. Just didn't want anyone to try it.
  4. Ahhhhhhh! Da Bomber is back on em.
  5. VN indeed.
  6. Don, A warm welcome to you. Yoopers are very welcome here as long as they pay the toll when their air waves cross the Straights. You will like here Don.
  7. I'm not sure what you are asking about the SWR and stacker. We used to run an old beat up ball with nothing on it bumping the bottom. 8 inch Dodger about 35-50 ft back
  8. Nothing is cast in stone but LJ recommends 20-30 inches. The shorter leads whip the lure around a bit more. We used to run ours about 16-18 inches and go sloooooooooooow 2mph or less.
  9. I don't want to catch some boned up fish.
  10. Very interesting.
  11. Go get em Bomber.
  12. Jason. A couple of nice ones there.
  13. VN boat. Ya gotta know I luv dem hardtops.
  14. What a HOG. That hole was just barely big enough.
  15. Get on those shaking rods FAST and reel just as fast as you can.
  16. Anyone from the East side want to make a run??
  17. Robert, When are you taking applications for the crew?
  18. I think Cabela's had some that were about the same. I like the clown pattern.
  19. A LJ Chrome dodger and a Army Green Peanut.
  20. Grant GJ on the eyes. It will only get better.
  21. Rick, A warm welcome to you. Just holler if you need any help.
  22. It seems the shorter rods work out better on the smaller boats because of the room available. Longer rigger rods are tougher to move other rods over the top of them. Every boat setup fishes slightly different. You may try one rod length and decide that a shorter or longer one will work out better in your spread. It seems I re-think and over think my set up every winter. Fine tuning the little things means a lot.
  23. Jari, I'd like to fish with you, if for no other reason than your shore lunches.
  24. A warm welcome to you Old Style Chris.
  25. The name sounds good. Here's another one "Ole Shep":)
