  1. Matt, Nice video of some nice fish.
  2. Nick, Congrats on the new job. Spend as much time with Parker as you can. You will never regret it. The kids do grow up way too fast.
  3. Welcome aboard Frank. Anyone named Frank is alright by me. Thanks also for your site sponsorship.
  4. These are NOT just for lakers. I have caught walleye and steel on them also.
  5. A canvas shop in Tawas made mine.
  6. Kevin, Every year is different and plays differently on an individual basis. You still logged some impressive #s for the year. Best of luck always.
  7. TJ, GJ breaking in the new ride.

    New Ride

    TJ, She's a beauty.
  9. Same here. I have never pulled a rod until the job was done. One thing I have done is not reset a rod that has taken a fish and we are a fish or two away from a limit.
  10. ^5s Hunter.
  11. Bob, GJ on the Steel.
  12. Captain, Thanks for the report.
  13. Marc, A warm welcome to the GLF site. Someone will chime in with some UP info.
  14. It was a bad year for me. I had a shoulder injury and only made it out 5 times all year. I should be good to go next Spring and hope to hit the Bay harder than ever. Even if the weather etc doesn't allow us to fish we can always get together over lunch on a windy day. Your boat or mine let's get em.
  15. Gj on the steel.
  16. There is standard 1 inch and 7/8 inch railing and fittings available. Do a search on eBay or Google. The standard stuff may save some $$ and all you would need is some custom brackets fabricated to fit what you have. For riggers you could have a piece of channel or rectangular tube bridge the railing. The rigger mounting channel or tube could be mounted permanent to the rails or U bolted to it.
  17. You'll enjoy the crossing. The submarine tour would be nice. If you can get some wheels there is plenty to see in the Muskegan, GR, and Holland areas.
  18. I bought the 2 inch SS exhaust tubing on line. Here is a link. I had them cut to length for ease of shipping. http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/
  19. Gordy, You're a pro with the camera and a rod.
  20. Dick, GJ man. When you get over this way next Spring we'll have to meet up.
  21. Jimmy, The fish mount looks fantastic. What a reminder of a great fishing trip.
  22. Here is a pic I hope it helps. My trees are connected to the gunwales and the hard top. By pulling a SS detent pin they pivot towards the back for travel. They are made with 7/8 inch SS tubing and 2 inch SS tube. The brackets are constructed from 1 inch SS tubing. The 7/8 inch tubing fits snugly into the 1 inch tubing allowing it to pivot. I bought some black Titelock end caps to protect the rods and to give them a nice clean look. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/8/7/DSCN1368.jpg' alt='DSCN1368.jpg'>
