There is always something to do with the boat, trailer, reels, lawn tractor, etc.

Some Mickeys or felt packs would have been a better choice for sure. At least you got out there and caught a few.

I'm going to continue to run bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses off 10 Offshore OR12 boards with a couple of more rods off the sides. I'm going to expand into some weed fishing casting weight forward spinners. I want to start working on my bucket list. I need to fish Lake Superior, Erie, and Ontario. I'll probably have to do this over 2 or 3 years.

Matt, Can we yell at ya for the other stuff?? J/K Let's face it guys sometimes on the pond there's a whole lot of yelling going on. There are unintentional things that sometimes happen and the bonehead moves by d!ck heads. All in all it's probably just part of the excitement trying to get some fish in the box. I like fishing around the Charters. They are easier to read than some others. Most fisherman respect others and realize there is a lot of water and all the fish are NOT concentrated under one boat. Has anyone ever noticed that there is usually some real good fishing just outside of the big packs?

I agree. Especially when they do it a construction zone. I especially mind my Ps and Qs in the work zones. Double fines and double points, but most of all the safety of those workers just inches away from the traffic.

Speaking of reflector tape I have it all over my boat trailer and even on the back of my boat. It may make you more visible going down the road at night. Even unhitching the trailer and leaving it in a parking lot, it's a lot more visible with the reflector tape.

I feel for you. I have had similar things happen. One of my pet peeves is the road hogs that go 50 on the two lane stretches and push it to 60 or better when they get to the passing lane stretch. There is no way you can get around them with out speeding. Even to pass someone safely on a two lane you have to put the pedal to the metal. If you have the time go to court or at least write the court explaining the circumstances. It can't hurt and may help. It isn't just the cost of the doggone ticket it may affect your insurance rates for years.

I have run real crawlers on harnesses off the riggers and taken walleye, steel, kings, whitefish, etc, on them. I tend to do a lot of things different than most. I stumble across some good techniques by breaking some rules. The way I figure the fish can't read the rules. Someone had to be bored to hook a short core to a rigger and give us the SWR. Dare to be different. They may call you crazy but you'll be in good company.
