  1. Great ideas guys. I hate rubber bands as well. I don't like broken bands laying around or ending up in the environment. It's too bad that we pay good hard earned dollars for a product and then have to make repairs and improvements.
  2. All right, way to go! Sheriff GLF is on duty!
  3. Rule number 1, lazy mates stay at the dock! Other than that nice vids.
  4. Welcome aboard Jim! Walleye and perch are my faves as well. Good luck and tight lines.
  5. As of now all 30 pounders. Check it out. http://www.sportsmensshows.com/cgi-bin/salmonderby/webapp.pl?rm=show&page=report
  6. Thanks for the post, Mike. Very interesting website.
  7. Is this in a pen enclosure?
  8. Anyway, I hope your buddy gets well soon and gets checked for allergies. Another possibility may be an insect bite. He really should see his own doctor and investigate as thoroughly as possible. We don't want to see a repeat of this!
  9. Don't know about salmon spinners but my walleye rigs catch bows, and my salmon lures catch walleye on Erie. That includes dodger and fly or squid catching walleye in 40 deg. water at a depth of 68'. Go figure.
  10. Try the wobble glows close to bottom. They should be fished slow. You could try using a dodger to enhance action. Run as long a leader from the dypsey as you can. Use a flourocarbon leader line. HIH
  11. Did you report the restaurant? Maybe there were more cases out there and the public should know. Wow, glad that your buddy is ok!
  12. LOL. I didn't know that boats had their own phone service? LOL. I like the idea of River/Open water/Icefishing under the Walleye Discussion heading. We already have individual sections for each lake. I for one do not want too much multiplicity.
  13. NICE, MIKE, very nice!
  14. Can't help without a photo. From what I have read about VHS, it's on the exterior of the fish. Secondly it is not harmful to humans. Was there a lamprey scar on the outside suface of the skin?
  15. Well, 4000 posts in two years. Must be a post junky. Thanks for the history, and thanks for all the work you put into the site. This is one of the cleanest sites I have found in a long time. Boat and decal look great too. Will be getting decals for next year if still available. You should be proud. Thanks again. PS: I notice you don't have your rocket launchers yet. Still nice rig.
  16. Thanks again for heads up. Hope I remember.
  17. Thanks for the heads up.

  19. Mike, no need to apologize. I never look at mail from an unknown sender. It's easy to take care of spam. No harm done. Just hit delete and don't open or answer that way they never know if the email address is a valid one. When it's an internal pm, I treat it the same way.
  20. I would have to agree with the coil theory. They do break down after so many run cycles. When it quits, immediately pull the plug wire and check for spark. No spark equals a bad coil. Chances are the older evinrude had exhaust ports on the backside of the housing and it was common for these motors to discharge cooling water out of these. Mercs had a pee hole and their exhaust was discharged through the prop. Good luck.
  21. Must been one of those homer moments.
  22. I'm in the market for a new fishfinder and one thing I noticed on the Lowrance site is that not all transducers are rated as high speed. You may also need to do a manual set up of the unit. Turn off the fish ID. Turn your ping rate up to 100%. Turn up the sensitivity until the screen is full of specks and then back off slightly to get a good picture. This should max out the performance of your unit. This should allow high speed running, marking your cannonballs and thermocline. Lowrance has great tech help. Good luck.
  23. Another thing to consider is that Bush is an oil man himself. Initially funded by Saudi money to get his oil business up and running. Secondly, if you were not going to sell them the weapons, then someone else would. Here at the pumps the price is around $1.25 a liter as of yesterday, could be more today with the long weekend in full swing.
  24. All summer off. Must be nice. Now I'm jealous. Welcome aboard.
  25. Wow, another new member. Great stuff. Welcome aboard.
