  1. Good job, it's enough to make me jealous!
  2. The Z boards are wood, cedar if I remember correctly. I think they are a new product. I know I am interested in checking them out.
  3. Can you find out how much thrust it delivers versus the weight of your boat? I know GW's are a pretty heavy, well built boat. The only time I have seen guys use kickers that small have been on smaller tin boats. It's hard to pass up a good deal but bigger would definitely be better if you can find one.
  4. Welcome to the site Tyler! Many of the members here fish the Grand Haven area so there should be a lot of info for you. I fish there a few times a year myself.
  5. Welcome aboard! Always good to have some people who support the outdoors. I have bought a couple of Big Jon products from you in the last few years, very good prices.
  6. Welcome Steve! I am orginally from Fowler and work in St. Johns. I have a few friends from the Owosso/Corunna area. Look forward to your reports.
  7. Welcome aboard!
  8. Welcome Tony! Great to have you aboard!
  9. Welcome! Just to warn you, you just caught the most contagious, expensive disease there is, big water salmon fishing! Quite a few guys on the site fish the Pt. Sheldon, Holland, Grand Haven area so don't be afraid to ask questions.
  10. I'm not sure what you are looking to do but my boat was slipped by the previous owner and it doesn't have shore power. All it has is a battery charger. The bilge pumps are wired to the battery so as long as the battery is charged the boat is ok. I'm not sure on wiring the switch with the charger. Maybe contact Guest as they manufacture the chargers and switches.
  11. Welcome, let us know if you need anything.
  12. Welcome and good luck. There are many members here who are willing to help in any way they can.
  13. Dennis, I bought the pack so it came with the 6002 control head. It came with everything I need to install it.
  14. Autopilot came today. With work and school, homework, finals, I won't be able to start the install until this weekend at the earliest.
  15. Truck ran great Frank. Good shakedown for everything but the cooler:D
  16. Man was it bumpy out there today. It really wasn't much fun. We set up outside the pierheads and headed south. Water was really dirty inside so we worked out to 40'. Tried to turn back north but it was pretty rough. Worked from 15'-45' back north. Took one rip on a Reefrunner on a 3 color. Finally gave up and headed in about 10 am. Solid 3-5's with a few 6's thrown in for fun. Boat ran good and nobody chummed so it wasn't a total loss. Looking forward to a more productive second trip.
  17. I use butt connectors and shrink tubing for my regular connectors. Just not sure if I should be using the smaller data connectors for the NMEA wires. My sonar and GPS are both Garmin but the autopilot is Raymarine. I also need to hook up the DSC feature of my radio. I'll keep looking around. I could have sworn that the gps and sonar came with the small connectors but I never connected them on the old boat and it's been a few years.
  18. I also have a Chevy diesel and love it. 22' boat and I get great mileage pulling the boat or regular driving.
  19. Brand new, never used. Still in the box. 40' of Garmin Marine Network Cable. Bought it with my sonar and gps but didn't need it. Retails for $58.55 on the Garmin site. $35 shipped to your door. Here's a link to the Garmin site: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=1134
  20. What connectors do you guys use to connect your electronics? I want to interface my sonar, gps, radio and autopilot when I get it. I seem to remember when I bought the sonar and gps they came with those small, telephone wire connectors. I was thinking about using them.
  21. Since the weather is going to be bad on saturday I plan on heading down to South Haven sunday. We will be launching around 6:30-7 am. If anyone else is thinking about going give me a shout on 68. If the weather turns and we don't go I will post here. Nick
  22. Nice upgrade. Lot of room on that back deck. Good luck getting her rigged.
  23. I think we are going to head down sunday. Weather looks a lot better than saturday.
  24. Matt, if you get a Garmin and need a chip for Lake Michigan I have an extra one. I got a new chip with inland lakes and Saginaw Bay on it. Let me know.
