  1. Nice report Tom, sometimes its tough going when you get hits and only a couple hookin up. I think this weekend looks pretty good for some early summer action.
  2. Nice one Jarod, we'll be talking to ya out there tomorrow.
  3. Fun on the water thats what its about. Even though they were throw backs you were not skunked!
  4. I won a 300ft 30# copper setup this last winter and I will be running it in place of one of my lead rods Sat morn. A few weeks ago J1Musser and Fishwhisperer brought some copper along on my boat and I have to say that is was pretty hot.
  5. I added the great lakes planers rod trees to my boat and I couldnt be happier. In my opinion if you dont have an arch to mount rod holders to run planers a rod tree is the only way to go.
  6. I have read some articles about the night time brown trout fury. I might try to give that a try if I decided to stay out late vs try for some kings that are primarily day time feeders. I have talked to guys years ago that primarily fished at night for kings and have done real well but I have since lost touch with them.
  7. Most salmon fisherman are early risers and I know there are some of you that have done some great night fishing. I may be going on an all night adventure real soon and wanted some input on fishing after the sun goes down to around 3am. Is there any suggestions from those night owls out there......
  8. One of my best days fishing I took a doo doo dive bomb to side of the face leaving the dock... But I don't reccomend it
  9. Nice job Don
  10. Great job on the fish Terry, you'll get the dog fixed up she has alot of life left in her.
  11. I'll bet that was a friggin riot aboard the nee hi.....Do those big kings pull the boat around? Nice job loading the freezer with a nice catch.
  12. Great job for the little guy!! Thats what fishings all about. Those times are priceless.
  13. Nicely done! 19.3# King is awsome, great post.
  14. Tom, Don't forget to beef up the handles on the cooler for those Monsters! Good Luck!
  15. Great Job Guys! I would bet Don from Tangled Mess set you guys up with some nice spoons. I have been pretty impressed with the Silver Streaks they hold up pretty good.
  16. Had issues on wire on Friday hooking up on a brand new plug. Immediately sharpened the hooks and catch rate went to 100%. I have learned the last couple years how dearly important that is on even the newest lures in the box or out of the package. Just My .02
  17. The wire doesnt stretch and your rod is probbably all fully loaded up when set so that fish has all the leverage in the world to rip those hooks out.....Snubber it up to add some stretch is what I do.
  18. Nice job for the conditions Ken, too bad the tourney wasnt in the evening the lake layed down nice. Jacob must have been hungry after the rough seas!!
  19. Well get the motor figured out the summers young. We already can't wait till next years pro-am to try again we will have more time to prepare. The 2UNREEL will probbably spend all summer around South Haven so I'm sure we will meet again.
  20. Well we fished friday in preparation for the Pro-Am in South Haven we went 10 for 18 or so with a few major tangles and managed to take ourselves out of the game. We had motor troubles on the Voyageur(my dads boat) and a bad case of the 24hr stomach flu. With the bad weather ahead for sat we took ourselves out of the tournament. Sunday came along and wanted redemtion so I got together Don(fishsniffer),Jarod(J1musser) and Randy(fishwhisperer) and took the 2UNREEL out. We trolled from 1pm to 6pm and went 15 for 17 ....9 Kings, 2 coho, and 4 lakers. We found the south troll worked best in 80 to 100ft. Everything worked once we threw out the decoy 12 color(mystery lead with no leader). Thanks guys for a great day its alot of fun going out a joking around with the guys and catching some fish. Greasy Chicken and many other Silver Streaks Wonderbread Ace HI behind a dipsey No-See um behind a lemon ice spindoctor Blue Machine Craigs x-mas
  21. Nice Job Joe, wish we could of been there along side of you but the cards didnt play our way.
  22. Lots of fish in the 80-120ft range last night, I don't have much to say for setups cause I wasnt able to get them going very much but the fish are in that region.
  23. I second that motion. I hope we got it cleaned up good enough, it was hard to see!
  24. Nice report. Nice meeting you at the fish cleaning station. Next time I will bring my hat lite so I don't slice any fingers off in the dark! You guys had much better luck than we did. I think that we had some trouble with the current last nite and just couldnt get her dialed in in time. Fish were all over the fishfinder. We wound up 2 for 6 with 1 released laker and a 14.1lb king. We broke 1 off on the slider and some short strikes on the riggers and cores.
