  1. What In-Line boards do you run and are they modified. What are your mods? Edit: I tryed to do a poll but messed up...I guess
  2. Here is an idea to suppliment the website..... Get an item like a lure package or down rigger once a month or year whatever. Your sponsors should be able to help with the cost of that. Determine the cost required to run the site. Sell X amount of raffle tickets to make up for that cost and when the quota is met someone gets something nice and the site stays in business. Just an idea.
  3. A open classifieds section that you don't need to be a supporting member would be nice. I realize its not free to put on this website but I would think you should be able to support it with more ads. IMO

I seen a guy in South Haven that bought an islander for a $1 and it looked alot like the DOG. He repainted it, repowered, and reupolstered and did all kinds of woodwork. That was a beautifull boat. I would bet that the gentleman that bought yours has something like that in mind, its starting to become a trend. I think what ever boat Terry is on will catch fish........TERRY IS THE MAGNET!! If you have ever seen him Ice Fish that is your proof.
  5. I use the paint missing on my lures to judge weather they catch fish or not. There are lures that don't lose paint and I try to remember witch ones work. To me a lure is like a worm on a hook, you'll loose it occasionally and part of it may come up missing from time to time. Just put a new one on and get er back in the water if its beyond repair.
  6. Modified Blue Dolphin Mini Mixed Veggie NBK Purple Glow Tiger Wonderbread Ace HI Super Screw Nuclear Beaver Green Nipple Mt. Dew Spin Dr Pickled Sunshine Fly Blue Bubble SD with a Mirage Purple Fly
  7. I have hated the Church boards from Day 1. Why I have 10 of them, I don't know. I don't have an issue with my short cores but my larger ones can get problematic. I will have to give the offshores a try but I really would like to have someone help me build a board specificly designed to run coppers and heavy cores. I just need a foam guy, and a plastic guy willing to build stuff for beer and I am all set. I have a few designs in mind I would love to test.
  8. Welcome to the site Monkeynuts. I love the name! The streaks are killer lures. Talk to some of the seasoned guys and they'll tell you how they outfish some of the other brands. I have used all the brands and streaks are a great choice!
  9. great shots!!
  10. Thats a bummer Jarod, I ran into some guys on the property I was hunting this weekend and expected the worst but it turns out that all is good and no problems, theres plenty of deer to go around they say...Now I just need themto come around my way.
  11. All I can say is I wish I could of been there......Thats no surprise that Don showed you guys alittle taste of the the great Oct steelhead magic. Those mini's are hellfire on those great steelhead days.
  12. Nice rig Ken, that thing is in excellent shape. Looks like you found a good one!
  13. Albemarle- Designed by fisherman for fisherman http://www.albemarleboats.com/trailerable/248XF.html
  14. We had several of these birds on the boat this day. At one time I looked up and there were three hanging out on the net. These guys were going to town on the flys were on the boat.
  15. Before I took pics on the north beach I was taking picture on the south side on those rocks by the parking lot. Needless to say one of those big rollers came in my work shoes and dockers were wet up to my knees:mad: Atleast I got some great shots.
  16. Took the family down to the lake to see the waves tonight. Of coarse there were idiots trying to walk out on the pier. The pictures don't capture everything but the force of nature is amazing.
  17. I don't think I have posted a pic of the the 2UNREEL since I got it rigged up. Here is a pic from this may. I had Fishsniffer, Fishwhisperer, and J1musser aboard. We had a great spring day, if you ever have a chance to bring some fellows from the web along with you its always a great time. I you see me around South Haven give me a shout! 1985- Sea Ray Sundancer 250DA Mercruiser 260 2- Fishlander Electric downriggers Great Lakes Planer Rod Trees Berts and Tite-Loc rod holders Lowrance Chartplotter, Fishfinder, VHF 2 lures, 1 fly and a free cooler:)
  18. great looking boat Mike....looks like a salmon slammer
  19. Great Job! Love those steelhead....did you get a pic?
  20. Great Job thanks for the report!
  21. I would of loved to see that fight with the log! I'll bet it's like watching someone fight a disey that hasent released to find out it had a 8in shaker on it.
  22. Great catch Mike, Went with a buddy today and the moring bite was hot. We caught 9 ho's and one of those short lakers you mentioned. We farmed 4 more at the back of the boat but did not care we had a blast.... Sounds like that new boat of yours is fish friendly post a pic when you get a chance.
  23. Put a dreamweaver pickled sunshine fly behind any spindoctor and thats a safe bet. If thats not working put a no see-um fly behind any white spindotor or paddle. Or my other favorite is the Mt.Dew spindoctor and mirage purple fly. Everyone will have their favorites so pick something you like and keep it wet, it will go when the fly bite is on!
  24. Just curious Blue Devil, you mentioned color infrared. I worked with vision systems and the infrared leds for illumination were only visable with Black and white cameras. Am I off track here? I believe that thermal imaging cameras are the only ones that can pick up the radiated infrared from an object for a color spectrum differential.....Those can get pricey. Another note for the guys wanting to try building cameras I spoke with a company R&D engineer that builds the Discovery Channel underwater kind of stuff and he reccomends blue and or green illumination for maximum distance and keeping the light from reflecting off particles in the water......hope any of this helps.
