Thanks everybody, my oldest can't wait to get out of school so he can join me on the water. I'm bummed about being laid off, but why not make the most of it and fishing is like hunting to me I get away from all the b-s and just relax. Frank I'm off till the end of the month if you want some company let me know and I'll drag Jason along too. Will post again when I get out. Tom

Didn't have much to do today so I got the oil changed in the truck and decided to try the bay. I got my first line in the water at the crack of 11:30 am and had four fish in the boat by 12:45 pm. I had other fish on but couldn't get them in the boat. I was 4.25 mi north west of the mouth of the Saginaw River in 15.5-20 fow. All came on harnesses and bottom bouncers. Fire Tiger, bright green with green blades, and a purple, chartruese, and white blade with chartruese beads on 1 ounce and 2 ounces bbs. It was a nice day on the water I just couldn't close the deal. Here is a picture of the kids with the bigger of the four fish. It measured 23" and I dropped the board back when it first hit. The fish were barely hooked they all came off when I got them in the boat.

Let me know if you have any extra GLF stickers because I'm going to peel the MS ones off of my small boat. I like the logo and the people on this site. Tom

No Frank, we had them in the holders almost parallel to the water. I've been told some guys run the rod tips almost in the water when they fish like that. That's the first time I've run rods like that and it won't be the last though. Tom

It was rougher than I thought it would be but still not bad. We got the launch at 6:30 am and there weren't any trailer in the lot and I thought what's going on here? I found out people don't come out till 8:30 to start fishing. The best method was 2 oz bottom bouncer blue and pink blade, and pink beads right behind the boat back 100 ft. We didn't put it on any board and it would get bit when it was inside a turn. We were trolling 1.2 -.9 GPS speed but the inside rod is slower I don't know if it was falling when the fish hit it or what, but thats what worked for us yesterday. I going to work on getting better pictures this year too. Tom

Went to AuGres limited out, nothing big just good eaters. We fished 28-30 fow pink harness's was the hot color with bottom bouncers. Water temp was 56-58 and we fished from 2 miles north of the river mouth to right in front of the river. I heard some chatter on the radio that south of hotel was also a hot spot. Not the best pictures but you get the message.

Ok Scott I heard the same thing and the weather is supposed to be nice. I'll be scanning 67 68 or somewhere in there. Tom

Going to try to get out Friday evening, if we can get home early enough I might try to get to AuGres for the evening bite. I'll post results. Tom

Hey jay d same thing here. I fished from 6:30 am til 1:30 nothing to show for it except I'm a half tank of gas lighter in my little boat. I tried every stick bait I had too.

Way to go Jason. You know you try to stay away from the pack and next thing you you are the pack. That guy had no right to put you guys in that kind of situation. A little consideration and respect for being there first goes a long way. Heck we've fished together and I would never fish that close to you or any one for that matter. My favorite line "Stay outside the Pack" which is not always easy. Tom -
Where was that weather last weekend?

We had a good time Jason, too bad I couldn't pick up one more fish to finish in the money. I went north, started at the bell off Whitestone Point picked up one right away on a purple and yellow Bass Pro Reef Runner knock off with a two ounce snap weight 25/75 in 45 fow, made another pass picked up another in the same area. Tried it one more with nothing decide to go to Alabaster to try some old way points and troll back to Whitestone picked up a 3.5 lb figured we needed at least two more fish so we go back to Whitestone and fish inside the bell and picked one more at 1:30 decide we better head in. Final weight was 12.06 for four fish 15th place had a weight of 12.08. We ended up catching two fish on reef runners and two on fire tiger harnesses. It was rough and it was a long ride back in but we had a good time we just needed one more kicker fish. Hey, Frank I saw you a couple of times once on Thursday morning I was waiting at H&H for my nephew, I was the one with the Trophy and the red GMC.

Manistee Report.
Indybleck replied to Priority1's topic in Michigan Waters Fishing Reports - Salmon and Trout
Frank all I can say is WOW. You had enough problems to last a lifetime on that trip. On the bright side it can only get better. Good Luck I know Manistee is a hot port I used to fish it a lot when I lived in Kazoo. -
Fished the weekend out of AuGres and we had to fight the wind. We ended up with seven on Saturday, nothing big as usual. We started south of Point AuGres and trolled with the wind (SW) till we got to the first plug 24-28 fow. Got them on harnesses blue and silver, black and silver, purple and chartuese beads with copper blades. 1 oz inline and bb 40-65 feet back. We didn't fish the tournament with two small boys because of the weather. The fish were suspended so we went with lighter weight. Oh yeah we caught the biggest sheephead I've seen in a while it had to weigh 15 lbs man that thing was huge. Sorry I ddin't call Frank my wife misplaced your number, if you would pm me again with it thanks. Tom

Was out there too and about the same results. We were a little deeper than what Jason was fishing but the same kind of bite. Slow and had to sort, but did get one nice perch and that was nice to see. Hey Priorty One I sent you a pm if you are going to be fishing the Au Gres tourny this weekend, get hold of me I'll be up Thursday - Saturday maybe we can hook up or something. Tom
