Not many fish in the muskegon yet. I think next week will be the week to fish the lower muskegon. This week has warm weather we need some rain and a couple cold nights. The white and pm have good numbers of fish tho. Glad to see we have a river fisherman on this site. -
I have trouble with the paint chipping off. Not a very durable spoon for the money and I agree the hooks are dull. The new owner of moonshines has poor quality. I have the old moonshines and the paint dose not fall off.

20# P-line for my rigger rods. I run this straight and do not have trouble getting fish and its strong line. I have used many different types of line but everyone has their fav. line.

Fished whitehall friday and saturday. Friday went 17-26 saturday went 13-18. All in 135 fow to 200 fow. fished the north net.

I was wondering where I could get some herring? None of the the local bait shops have it in Muskegon.Any info would be great Thanks Rob

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to be fishing out of Whitehall Fri,Sat,Sunday. So I will give some of these lures a try. I am going to head out deep after I pick up my kings.

I run flasher fly combos off the riggers all the time. Works great I try to keep them around 25 ft tops behind the ball. I also aways run sliders above them. Try a fixed slider about 10 ft above it.

Never heard of flower creek is there good fishing out from there? I am fishing out of whitehall this weekend just looking for some places to fish I mostly fish out of muskegon so whitehall is new to me thanks for the info guys

I have tied lots of different lines. The best I have found is 20 lb P-Line I have not broke off yet and it don't pigtail great line.

I am looking for a 10-12 ft flat bottom for steelhead fishing. I will not be fishing out of boat just floating from hole to hole. Any info give me a shout thanks.

Well I have not got skunked yet. I have been getting about 3-5 a trip but I have only got out 4 times this year so far. I did get a 15 pound 1 ounce steelhead saturday.

Just thought I would say hello to everyone. Well my name is Rob I live in muskegon MI I am 23 years old and just started fishing the big lake last year. I have a ton to learn about fishing out on the big lake. I got a card in my truck window last year at snug harbor about this site and just decided to take a look and wow there is a ton of info and frendly people.
